Dude youre a proper gearslut. My 2nd Guitarist has the JMP1 and I recently got the ADA MP1, we both got the fitting pedalboard with it, which right now is at my amp-guy who I asked to measure each part and replace in necessary since its a 40 year old Preamp. Having both...you rock. We also have the TC Electronic G-Major 1 for effects selectable by midi. And yeah you are absolutely right without a Poweramp + Cabinet they sound like dogshit. But luckily there are impulse responses available. One which I like is Torpedo Wall of Sound, not sponsored. I simply like it. It has a prebuild Poweramp which you can turn off if you want to use another one and you buy cabinets to keep, not to rent. I once spent like 40 bucks on it when they had a buy 4(cabinets) get 1 free thing going and I will likely never ever put any money into it. Worth it. ALSO!!!!!: Modelling amps can be very good for practice at home if you dont have the money to put a ADA MP1 + TC Electronics G-Major 1 in your 19" Rack with a USB-Interface to send a Signal into your PC which has a Licensed version of Reaper running with any kind of Monetary Impulse Response.....A smol 10" modelling amp which is not complete dogshit does the job of training for the next rehearsal, too. And yeah, nothing is more fun than cranking a 100W Tube Head (which most of the time is 2x50Watts) and firing up a full 2x 4x12 "Fullstack". Earshattering fun

Hell yeah! Tube amps all the way! In fact, I ordered the JVM410h about two months ago and I'm still waiting for it, it's on backorder. After the Marshall buyout, their products have been out of stock and backordered in most stores. I just hope my amp will be as good as the old ones. Greetings from Brazil!

Marshalls are notorius for bia drift and high maintance

I had quite the opposite experience with Marshalls, I worked in rehearsal spaces for over 8 years and the most common amps there were the JCM900 and the JCM2000 100W heads, those amps worked non stop every day and took some serious abuse without having any faults, while the Mesa Dual Rectifiers and Peavey 5150 had to go to the shop for maintenance every 3 months or so.
We'll see about my JVM but since it lives in my personal studio and I take good care of it I hope it will live a long life, I got it brand new so two years down the road I'll probably check the bias and see if the power tube quartet there is still healthy.

i started with a 10 watt matrix transistor amp that not only smelled but would also leave hair balls like a cat, it sounded awful...now i have a 1974x...modelers suck ass. i work on live gigs and see young lost guitar players waiting like sardines for the next software update and sounding like ass, they have no real ability to go back to real tube amps after their brain was filled with junk and simulations.
