- Yes, your looking at this right: the original audio track for the Cars 3D Sketchup animation has finally been restored in its full glory… somewhat.
The original video with the original audio is still completely lost media thanks to fucking copyright issues, and it has since been replaced by a generic stock track called “Cataclysmic Molten Core” by Jingle Punks. This new track that has been plastered over the original audio is NOWHERE near as nostalgic as the actual audio that was originally there.
The original audio actually had the film’s audio, with a very crunchy sound quality to it. To add to it, it was from the PAL DVD version, hence why it sounds higher pitched here than it does on the American Blu-ray & DVD releases.
Using my prior memory of watching this great memory of mine, I have attempted to recreate the original audio for your viewing pleasure so you don’t have to listen to the Jingle Punks song while it plays again.
Now, there does appear to be some sort of a mishap with getting this video uploaded, as someone by the name of Mr.M (@mr.m4275) has appeared to have uploaded it RIGHT before I did, directly downloaded from the discord server I sent it in (that being the PixarFan8695 server). He does give some sort of credit on his upload, but otherwise it was taken before I realized it was uploaded before I got to uploading it. While I am annoyed that this has happened, I am letting it slide because this isn’t my video. This is only a recreation of someone else’s video, so it’s not quite considered as “stealing”. Plus, this is a upload from the direct file that I have for it and not the one from discord, which is probably compressed. But hey, at least it’s getting some attention now.
So, enjoy the original experience of the Cars Sketchup animation with the ORIGINAL audio restored as best as it possibly could!!!

ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION:
This was made way back in 2006 for a school ICT project we had to do involving Windows Movie Maker and another type of software. Quite primitive, but I hope you enjoy it!
UPDATED DESCRIPTION ADDS:
Sorry - had to change the audio track due to music copyright.

LOL
it's even more nostalgic with the crunchy PAL audio
Agreed. I remember seeing this video with that crunchy PAL audio a long time ago as a young kid, and knowing that the current upload of it has generic stock music instead is a very criminal move. I HAD to restore it somehow.
@@DozerDavisProductions and that's why you're an absolute godsend
Heheh, thanks!!!
@@DozerDavisProductions yw!
Okay.......This is actually kinda awesome
I will admit, this certainly looks like something that was made during the mid to late 2000s since UA-cam was still new at that point.
And that’s because it definitely was made in the mid to late 2000s! Originally, it was made for some high school project in 2006/2007 and it got uploaded on September 5th, 2007, right before my birthday, so that’s why it has that “old UA-cam style” charm to it. What makes it even more special is that it was uploaded on Lightning McQueen day, although I don’t recall when they actually started considering 9/5 as the actual date for Lightning McQueen day… but it’s cool regardless!
@@DozerDavisProductions Huh, I didn’t even know there was such a thing as Lightning McQueen Day until now. I bet that started sometime right after _Cars_ was at least in theaters.
It has been a thing for a while now, the Cars social media channels have been promoting it every year nowadays.
@@DozerDavisProductions I had no idea.
Is this even real? There’s *_no fricking way_* this was added to the PAL DVD.
It is real. As someone who has seen the video a dozen times before the audio change, I remember what the audio sounded like exactly to the point of recreating it to be accurate to memory.
@@DozerDavisProductionsI’ll admit, that’s kinda surprising.
