Your video was very helpful. I have a 1995 Z71 with stock wheels and really oversize mud tires that are very heavy. Although I like the mudtread, the gas mileage driving 80 miles per day is eating me alive. I was thinking of putting the stock wheels and tires like you are taking off on it for similar size and lighter weight and less rolling resistance equaling improved fuel mileage. Now I can compare by weighing the ones from my truck to your stocks and measuring my size. The new trucks are nice but out of the range I can pay.
This video was helpful I can't believe I haven't stumbled across it before being that I follow you. The reason it was help is I have a 15 ltz z71 crew cab and I did zone trim plates on it and it's going on a 3/1 motofab leveling kit. I just got my tis 22x12 -44 with 33 inch fury rt tires in the mail and they measure out the same so with the plates I shouldn't rub at all!!!
I wonder if I can still pull a trailer everyday with those 22’s, maybe 35’s. I have a 2 1/2 leveling kit on my Ram. By the way, this video was very informative. Really better wisdom than custom offset videos. Man you have a gift!
Gas mileage had to take a significant hit carry that much more weight. Pretty amazing the weight difference. Wonder how much a set of factory size mud tires say toyos or nittos on the stock wheels would weigh? I know on my company truck when I went from the transforce 265s to duratracs same size I lost about a mpg
How do you like those tires? Honestly are they loud on the highway I'm looking to get new rims and tires for my truck. And I just don't want anything that's loud on the highway thanks
Hey bud nice set up you got there, Im headed the same route but I was wondering if you used the stock tire sensors or you bought the ones off CustomOff set?
I have stock 2014 22 inch wheels with 305/45/22 on a 2008 single cab Silverado with just a front rough country 2 inch leveling kit. No rubbing no trimming
The trick I use is to black out the stock rims and upgrade the tire to a 33 with a A/T or M/T pattern. So effective I get the look and all the benefits of close to stock weight, with a more capable off road tire. Leave the rim and offset alone.
nice. thanks for the info. This is how videos should be. Quick and to the point.

Thank you. I always wanted to know the difference compared to stock. Now I’m considering changing my tires

I'm sure that you can, but it will definitely add strain on the truck.
Are u selling ur old wheels

Lost 2-3 mpg on average with my normal commute. Not horrible but definitely noticeable.

Depends on what you think loud is, they arent loud to me because im used to nitto mudgrapplers but they do have a hum.
You want a all terrain what ever choice less noise cheaper ...the more aggressive the more the noise ... mudd tire is the way to go..
Hey bud nice set up you got there, Im headed the same route but I was wondering if you used the stock tire sensors or you bought the ones off CustomOff set?
I bought some with them. Just spend the extra and not have to pay to get them swapped.
Anyone here know how big of a mud tire I can put on a stock height suburban
Hey what kind of rims and tires are those? I need those! Would that size fot on my completely stock 08 tahoe ltz
christopher olson did you watch the video at all? He literally said both brands.
Would that 22x12 size tire fit a Leveled truck? I don't plan to lift it or anything, just have the leveling kit. I have a 2014 single cab Silverado
Jose Rodriguez mine rub slightly. I have a 17

Bro I have 22x16 custom plan b billet wheels an they are heavy heavy
But I do also have 15.5 width tires 35s so ya puttin them on my Cummins hard
do you think i could run 22x12 on my leveled 93 obs 2wd ford without an issues
Might need a spacer to push the front bumper out or you’ll need to cut a little bit of the plastic
did your truck feel a little slower with these new tires and wheels?
jewllake mine does.
Yes. You can feel the weight
that'll happen with every truck. Bigger tire= more surface area.
and of course the weight
shit I like the look of the aftermarket tires and wheels. but thats just way to heavy.
will the 18 fit an 06 silverado??
Yes
You add it like 1/2"
To 3/8"s to your measurement
WHY
Can i use the stock tires on the a black rim
No you cant the rim sizes is different so it wont fit
did your exhaust not void your warranty?
Its after the sensors that monitor things. The truck has no clue its different.
lmfscrew oh i was just curious because i wanted to do that exhaust setup on my 2018 silverado
Lmfscrew, do you still have your Range technology device in your truck?
👍🏾
👍👍❗
Do you use hub centric rings with the ballistic wheels ?
I do not
lmfscrew thanks
Do a tuner to adjust the difference in performance
ahhh i see your compressor dilema ..those harbor freight ones suck.my buddy has one ..i have the husky 30 gal. worth the extra 100 bucks
Yea it was given to me so i cant complain that much. I does good enough on suspension and exhaust stuff.
hey cant beat free
Between 63 and 65 is 64
"It's between 63 and 65." So.....64?
Hey come and check out my new silverado, doing some progress vids only about 20 days of owning it so far and lots of changes
Height!!!!!! Not heigth!!!!! Sorry but that grinds my gears
Get a better mic brother. I have to crank the volume up when you talk and then ads blow my eardrums out. LOL
