    This fourth generation, family run, hand-made bear factory offers the most bespoke teddies the U.K has to offer - Whilst being the last bear factory making them.
    Merrythought started nearly nine decades ago, in 1930. Its CEO Gordon Holmes owned a Mohair Spinning Mill, which is a very sort after type of fibre coining the name ‘Diamond Fibre’ which is taken from the Angora goat. This specific material is known for its high luster and sheen.
    The company has been passed down through four generations, and is now under the helm of Gordons Great Granddaughter Sarah.
    Sarah said: “Gordon discovered a beautiful brick foundry building in the heart of Shropshire, and with the help of a small team of highly skilled local seamstresses, Merrythought was born.
