I’ve never seen a boring video from you! Paint a couple nails in the blur pale shade and keep holding it against your blue shirt. Maybe your mind will convince you that it’s blue!😂 I love the Orly’s except I can’t wear yellow. Thanks kiddo. Have a great day!
Edit: I hope you don’t mind that I call you kiddo. It’s what I’ve been calling my oldest granddaughter for 20+ years. It’s a term of endearment for me.
@@lisapierce525thank you!! 😚 I didn't really love that yellow next to my skin. I tend not to love their shimmer polishes in general. I like their creams and any specialty finishes I'll buy from Indie polish companies. Also, I absolutely was not offended when you called me kiddo. I often go to a community center and there are so many people that call me kiddo and they are so sweet, so it doesn't sound negative to me at all 🤗
If you put that yellow on the brown it is a pretty green too.

For how many creators LOVE purple with a passion- it’s so funny how hesitant you are about it! Ps I don’t wear pink or red polish and I’m perfectly content with not trying any of it. I own one red to use in nail art sometimes though
That’s crazy😂 pinks and reds are MY FAVORITES and make up the majority of my collection 😅 I’m not a fan of yellows and hate corals. Orange leaning corals anyways.
I audibly gasped when you opened the color pass box…. what a fantastic color story! I have been wanting the color pass subscription for a couple years now, but I’m still trying to justify it. I love the idea of getting surprise nail polish every few months, but I’m terrified of getting colors that I already have or colors that I hate lol. I might just bite the bullet and do it this year, I don’t know. I have 400 bottles of nail polish, and I’m really trying to pair them down, not add to them lol… The struggle is real, am I right??😂
@@geniej2378 The nice part about having a few colors that you're not excited about. Is it automatically cuts nail polishes from your wish list so at least you're not wanting everything 😀
@@avamarshall1209 well you're not necessarily getting exact colors you already have because they are new release polishes, but they can definitely be similar. I'm thinking with my review video I'm going to compare a few of the older Orly colors that I have that compare, but if you have 400 polishes and some of them are mainstream the chances are you're going to get similar colors. For the most part I only purchase from Indie polishes with specialty finishes so the color pass is where I get the majority of my creams that I wouldn't normally be buying
@@JenniferDufoe that’s true! I never thought of that before… I would say my collection is mostly creams, because I just barely got into indies spring of last year. My first PPU was in April 2023 I believe. So, yeah, color pass might not be a good idea for me. Unfortunately, I still kind of want it🫠
Wish I purchased the night owl knitter not quitter. I’ll live vicariously through you. I really love orly but have not tried color pass because I generally only like 1 or 2. My one subscription is Cuticula 😊 thanks for the cool unboxing. Purple seems to be your spirit animal
@@christyn6679 every time I wear a purplish color people always give me compliments and I remember when I was younger. I saw somebody for makeup tips before my wedding and she said with my skin tone I should wear purple eyeshadow, which I turned down immediately. But it is funny how so many people can say you look good in a color, or even an outfit. But if it doesn't make you feel good you still don't like it. I do feel like I'm slowly coming around to purple but similar to you with the blue it needs to be certain shades and then still after a day I want it off 😜

I always laugh whenever you talk about purple polish because it's exactly how I feel about blue polish 😂 If it isn't a really dark blue, dark-ish navy at the lightest, then I don't want it lol. I hemmed and hawed over that NOL! I didn't end up getting it, which I surely hope I don't come to regret 😅 Tfs!
@@keely5120 I think the night owl is really pretty and it'll be good for A few different seasons but for me it's definitely going to need three coats. So if that doesn't bother you, I think you're going to like it 😊 But I know one of the suckiest things is when you're going back and forth on If you should get a Polish, then you decide to get it and then you're not happy with it. I hate that feeling

I cancelled my Orly subscription. I just really wasn't feeling the collections and they were starting to stack up. I wanted to make room for indie polishes instead.
@@vmchapman20 Oh for sure!! if we're comparing Indie to mainstream of any brand Indie polishes are going to win any day of the week for me. I'm lucky enough to have plenty of room in the drawers behind me, but if I didn't I would cancel my color pass as well
Hey, I also got the NOL "I'm A Knitter, Not A Quitter"...it's so pretty. I've been trying to grab the Bob's Diner polishes. I have only one Orly polish that I'm very disappointed with, so I've not bothered with them, but this month's Color Pass collection is lovely. Thanks for sharing. :)
@@lisabartz2719 I have quite a few Orly s that have really bad formulas but I also have quite a few that have great formulas so I guess it's hit or miss for me. But I do like the cream colors quite a bit and the brushes have been really nice lately. I've been liking a lot of the night owl lacquer polishes from these pre-order sites 😊
@@JenniferDufoe Yeah, I've been hearing this about the Orly polishes which is another reason why I've been hesitant. It's not that the colors aren't pretty, but it's just such a hassle to pay to work with a polish with a craptastic formula. lol

Mine was pretty late, too. Late one, I got on the day after @Fanaticure (Saturday after her Friday Live). This one didn't come until Tuesday.

@@nerdlovesnails I really like the way The alchemy looked on the Swatch wheel so I think I'll be happy with it on and I'm so glad you like unboxings. I love watching them myself and I got quite a few coming with the whole polish rewind from PPU and then plus the makers having additional polishes at their own sites 😁
I got the MC file and omg i can't believe i ever used those cheap sandpaper files before!
@@ashleyj0 oh I know!!! I really like the Germikure file as well. It's a touch thinner than MC.
The Alchemy Lacquer looks like your SUperman shirt's blue, to me, but a lot of color has to do with lighting. Hope you end up enjoying it!

I LOVE the Germanikure file. I have the travel size too. I've had mine for years with the leather case. I'm embarrassed to say I never sanitize it ... just rinse the dead nail off! 😂
@@kdbug331 🤣 I went many, many years with never sanitizing my stuff. About 7 years ago I started sanitizing all my stuff about once a month. I follow all the directions on the barbicide bottle. The process is really easy and it gives me peace of mind. But I also know how hard it is to add something new into an already busy lifestyle. I'm a creature of habit so to add something different into my routine takes a lot of effort 😜
@@JenniferDufoe I use barbicide to clean my nail tools as well. I purchased all of my nail tools from The Meticulous Manicurist...she really focuses on nail health and proper care. Her stuff is pricey, but it'll last a lifetime, so for me it was worth it. I didn't purchase everything all at once, but over time...and literally years later I'm definitely not regretting my purchases from her. I think you're the first UA-cam nail influencer to mention the use of barbicide, so thank you so much. :) I have my eye on a Germanikure nail kit and you just helped me to solidify this decision. I've heard that using a glass file will actually seal the nail..so, I want to see if this is legit.
I'm the same way with pinks. I don't mind pink except for on my nails. I've been trying to get out of that mindset, but I can't seem to keep any shade of pink on more than a day without cringing at it. 🤣
@@desidrose88 Oh gosh, I have that same issue, I'll put it on, I have my best intentions to enjoy it but then I keep staring at it. Thinking how long till I can take this off 🤔
The Alchemy looks blue to me and also is very pretty. I do really enjoy their polishes and hope you wear this one and up liking it. 😊
@@kathleenwheeler5573 I will definitely be putting this on my fall rack so hopefully I will get to it soon. It did look bluer to me on the Swatch wheel than in the bottle and I love all the components in it. 😊
I didn’t think the first two don’t match the back of box but is closer to the card inside. I like the ones on the back a bit more wishing it was that but it’s in my deep autumn palette except maybe the magenta but it can work too. It’s not as pretty as spring and I wish it would be more like that or metamorphosis. I’m a shimmer lover so I felt if they’d done a whole rustic route set I’d be even more into it. All the colors are beautiful. I wore it first as skittle and people said it looked like summer. I have it in nail art form now and it’s very fall festival vibes. I can see even a pretty marble out of these. If I I did more nail art these are awesome , alone I think I’ll probably add a topper to add something to them . As I said I’m a deep autumn so finally getting the fall colors I’m happy and jewel tones are a winter thing so it’s like when they say your sister season is deep winter. So stealing some of those shades. I think all of them are beautiful but shimmer and a bit more earthy warmth in it would’ve been nice. I hope winter isn’t just a red and green set and boring. It’s gonna be something with fire so we will see where they take it. Maybe that’d be cozy by the fire vibes or something or baking or something. I’m not mad at this set but it could be better.
You should try cirque colors file it also comes with a velvet sleeve the file itself is almost soft if that makes sense

I also bought Alchemy & NOL from HHC. My swatch stick of Alchemy looks more blue to me. I also got my colorpass & love the colors. When I swatched them, I was thinking the yellow was my favorite 😁 they do need to put a bottle of something else instead of one night stand. I’ve never even used a peel off base but would use the bonder base. TFS 😊
@@danamarie0424 I also do think the alchemy looks blue on my swatch wheel so hopefully it looks blue on my nails. At first I was thinking why would they add a peel off base? How many people actually use this, but then that's probably why they put it. Trying to get more people to want to buy it. 🤷♀️

On the camera, that Alchemy doesn't look purple at all? I just got my color pass too, they do look great!

@@Musikisbellatastic I'm sorry, I will start putting the month on my video so there's no confusion. Pre-order sites like these take 3 to 4 weeks to ship out so I do not have my July hella handmade creations yet either
Purple is definitely not my favorite either. I think it has something to do with the 80s. I do have about 15 purples mostly very dusty or plum.

"peel" vs "pill"
Can you tell I'm so used to speaking to my husband that helps me with my grammar? LOL. My husband is definitely picks up on it when I mispronounce or helps me figure out the word that I'm trying to look for. Speaking to you guys through the camera I have to try to figure out on my own and it certainly doesn't always come out right 😜
@@JenniferDufoe OH, I had no idea there was an issue. It just struck me as I was listenting that it sounded like you were saying "pill" and "pilly" instead of "peel" and "peely." I think a lot of people say it that way, though, so it's all good! :)
