I wouldn’t call this as a vlog, but it is a beautifully documentary! you have giving us very insightful information about the place and the simple beauty in it at the same time. Also, I like the way how you show the real living style of Hmong people in Laos with the realness and kindness as they are . I just love it!!!!!!!
Wow, thank you so much for this lovely comment. We really appreciate that and absolutely love making these kind of videos. We hope to make many more in the future and do more projects around this 🙏 thanks again!
I used to work for UNHCR in Thailand refugee camps. I met many Hmong people there. They are very honest, friendly people. I see that here in this video.
The “praying part” is actually an offering of food and drinks to the spirits of the forest, land and surroundings. It is done prior to any feast/eating. It’s purpose is to show respect and in return, protection. It is believed that without the offering, the spirits will do harm, the party will receive bad luck and illness. Great video!
Great job! I’m happy for you and to the Hmong People who are kind and friendly to take you to the jungle to teach survival skills. Thank you for bringing the jungle to my home so I can enjoy like I used to do 30 years ago when I was younger and still living in Laos. CherTong Yang of Minnesota, USA. 😊
I was born in Laos but left the country when I was 5. It’s awesome that your work helps refresh my memory of Laos jungle survival with my old man. Thank you for sharing!
Really love these Hmong forest/jungle videos! Really interesting seeing things we do not see normally. Need to do a go fund me for a decent boat for your Hmong friend.
Nyob Zoo and Hello! Wow, stumbled upon this video and it's amazing! Glad you found these two kind brothers to provide you with a glimpse into Hmong life in the jungle and survival hunting. Great work on this vlog and thanks for sharing! I loved watching it!
Love this video! Thank you for sharing and for being so acceptive of the Lao/Hmong culture and beauty of its country! A humble person like you deserves all the adventures there is out there and we can live thru them from your videos! Thank you 🙏🏻
Awesome video! Love seeing a different side of the Hmong people other than the typical poor village scenes. Ked is resourceful as heck! You are correct, I believe he can survive living continuously in the jungle with the survival instincts that he has.
18:45 calling the spirit of that area to come join and eat (your a guest and that's his place/area/home, etc). I guess he also calling his parent (pass away) to come join and eat.
Hmong people are natural born hills people. They have big lung capacity also they have a way to breath through their nose or mouth. My dad who is old now would do this as a kid with his friends to go catch some fish and it would be funny activities. Sometimes accidents happens. But not a lot. Us Hmong people have hysterical about rivers and waters because of our religion but sometimes it better to not think too much and just respect nature. But this is superhuman on a level.
Bravo Mario.
Nice. The praying part is this. The hmong culture is when you go to the jungle or any environments when you want to take resources from the lands you have to ask the mother nature there for the resource. The hmong believe that each lands have spirit owners like in real life and you ask for their permission to take their resources or offer for protections. The offer food is showing gratitude for the taken resources, a sign for luck on great hunt with better chances and most important the offer protections from all sources like bad animals like predators, monsters, ghost, bad omen or lots more like bad stuff that could harm or get to you. When you eat in the jungle or foreign environments you have to give a little back to the mother nature spirit there. Whether if you eat from the resources off that environment or just your food from home it's wise, to offer some to the spirits that inhibitat that place. Safety and luck of what you need.
@@TravelsonToast actually I commented Ur vid at like only 5 or 10:00 so I heard u mention his Channel and went to watch his last video in which I Saw u again haha ! I'll soon be travelling to laos so maybe we'll meet there if u didn't leave yet ^^ Enjoy ! Thx for the documentaries, it really helps me understand Laos and its people in a more realistic way than just reading in Travel magazines and other forums etc... Plus it's recent, which is kind of rare with Laos vids in my experience. So thanks a lot and see u there if Destiny wants to :D
Cool bro! Welcome to the Hmong Tribe...and thank you for sharing your adventure with us in the comfort of our livingrooms. I hope you enjoy your adventure and would recommend it to others who seek simaliar adventures as you.
This video definitely deserves more views from the guy staying underwater for 3 mins (he had to have found an air pocket lol) and getting pure luck with those big fish being in the 1st spot the whole time. this could be on a nat geo wild or something tv show potential seriously I got good vibes the whole video.
Welcome back to the real jungle adventure Mario. FYI, very beautiful Hmong Lao girl just won Miss Univers Lao 2022 pageant and she will go to US in Dec to compete miss Universe …..have fun and be safe my friend.
We Hmong believe that every part of certain area there is a spiritual landowner there that’s y they did that little tradition section “pray”. Still does it here in the U.S.
Mario by the praying means that you are asking for blessing and welcoming the spiritual owner of the land to eat and protect you guys from any danger or harm since you are visiting their land
We Hmong people everytime we eat on the forest we call the spirit in the forest to come eat with us and protect us from the evil spirit and we call our ancestors to protect and guide us to the road ahead where we are going.
