I do deeply appreciate the facc that you are sharing these tips, they are encouraging me the double I was already, thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge and good way to relate things with others.
Thank you for your advice! I am changing careers after working for the DOE for 20 years. I had a few questions: How long should the sample presentation be? Should I place it on memory stick and give it to them during the interview with my portfolio, or will I be required to perform on the spot? What type of assesment/evaluation does the team typically utilize?
Hi Maria - if you get to the presentation stage, the employer will usually tell you how long you have for your presentation. I wouldn't give them anything until they ask for it. As far as evaluating the presentation, it varies. Some places will do a debrief afterward and discuss the candidate. Others might have a more formal process where they have a form with ranking criteria. It really depends.
Hello sir, this video is extremely useful I'm a new business trainer and assessor and I'm looking for a job through seek. However, what you are present is right Thank you for the information that you have provided. Please make a video for the interview for the business trainer and assessor job prescription that would be very appreciated. Thank you very much for your hard work🙏👍
I’ve applied and applied, but nothing so far… Do you have any opinions on the Certified Professional Trainer online courses? Is there any one that is more valuable or desirable? Are they even worth it? Thank you so much for the video and for generously offering the worksheets!
Hi Ellisa! Where are you seeing them? If someone is interested in pursuing a certification, I usually recommend getting one through ATD (Association for Talent Development) because that should be recognizable to most hiring managers. I have also taken classes through Langevin Learning which is a train the trainer company and thought they were good. My overall opinion on a certification is that if it covers topics and skills that you need/want to develop then they can be worth it from a personal development point of view. Will a single certification get you hired? Probably not.
