i want to say the guitar sounds great, but i'm not entirely sure because the backing track is way too loud.

I love the sound of this LTD guitar a lot. I played it before and it is real easy and comfortable to play.

I have Gibson, PRS and Fender guitars and this little beauty, LTD EC 256. This is the least expensive guitar that I own, but it's the one I play the most. It feels and sounds great. I eventually upgraded the tuners and nut but I'm very happy with the pickups and don't feel the need to replace them at this point. I'm glad I bought one of these!

I've had this guitar for a month now (black and gold finish) and I love it. I am interested to know what kind of amp/ampsim they used in this video though..

My brother sold mine to a pawn shop for £40 behind my back two years ago.
Mine had a switch installed and the push pull pot removed and an orange drop capacitor fitted, what a great guitar.
I miss it so much, it was my favourite guitar, I still feel its loss badly now.

I've owned this guitar for about two years and although it sounds pretty good and plays great, if you like jumbo frets, it has many quality issues: when I got it, I immediately noticed it didn't hold tune or even let you tune properly. Basically among the crappiest tuners I've used. so, I replaced them with Grover 18:1 and now it's useable. Then, a week later, the input jack died. I resoldered it myself but now, after years, it again is giving me trouble. Then, the tone knock, which is also a push/pull coil tap, kept coming off in my hand when I wanted to tap or untap the coils. Now the knob stays in the case and I just use the bar metal pot. Then, this week, the toggle switch started crapping out. So I guess I could order another one but this thing is starting to seem like a crappy old car that keeps breaking down on me.
And finally, a word on the pups: maybe it's just me but they are muddy as hell. I know all short scale humbucker guitars have this issue.
, when compared to a strat for instance. But it's like night and day compared to my humbucker strat, which is still very ballsy but with much more clarity. I've considered changing the pups but with all the quality issues I din't thing it deserves them. Let's face it: this is nothing but a cheap knock-off of a classic design.

Mind Glide Yeah I'd say LTDs start getting good with the 401s. The problem there is that they almost all are active. If you prefer passive, if you can save for an entry level Gibson. I've also owned Epiphone too and found they have quality issues too.

@@pablogaete4894 I already own a fantastic Tokai Love Rock MIJ; I'd like a LTD because it's thinner than a LP and with better ergonomics and action (particularly a less curved top = strings closer to the body) and eventually a killer look/color like this one. I'd also like the SD pickups, maybe EMG, since it would be my axe for a heavier sound / my Tokai having a kind of very good PAF which I dont want to replace.

+Mohammed Ali -- When it comes to these demo videos, the backing tracks are usually made by the company or the guitarist doing the demo, made off the cuff for demo purposes.

+Mohammed Ali -- If I like a riff in a demo, I'll just record it to my studio computer and remove parts like any vocals, bass, etc...edit it however I need it...then learn that riff or piece. That's the best that I have been able to do.

  • @ShortFingeredShreder

Seems like a great guitar, but the master tone control is a turn off. I don't understand why LTD does that. Most guitar players like to roll-off the tone on the neck, and have the bridge all the way up. Not a lot of players utilize dual volume controls. It makes much more sense to have 1 volume and 2 tones. As I can see with the clever video editing, the guy in the video hates that feature as well.

MrMoneyHelper same I like how it’s different than anything else I’ve played on the volume/tone knobs. It almost didn’t make sense at first haha
