No, they haven't. Munich is usually quoted by people who want to go to war as a justification for their actions. They rely on people having little idea of what really happened.
Putin´s words about suffering Russians in eastern Ukraine are same like Hitler´s words about suffering German brothers in Czechoslovakia. Russia must be stopped, until it´s too late. Same dictators, same nazis.
Wow from the trailer itself, it gives goosebumps. Can't wait to watch this.
nice to see MacKay running from stuff again
Jeremy Irons should star in a stand-alone Chamberlain movie. The guy is misunderstood and villified by most people these days, he was never the coward people nowadays thinks him to be.
All of Czech republic would argue with you
He wasn’t a coward, he was gullible and naive.
@@danieldravot341 No he was not, he was a realist and knew Britain was not ready for war. It was under him that in a few years that Britain was able to arm itself for war. Look at their Airforce it grew significantly during this period under Chamberlain.
@@lordrisay it was more ready than germany. as was france. so that point is irrelevant.
@@lordrisay Germany wasnt ready, too. Germany started expanding its military since 1935. Britain and France got 15 years advantage. Germans took bigger Arms factory in Europe rent free
Will definitely watch, George Mackay is SUCH an amazing actor!
A movie so hyped, Netflix dropped the trailer three times.
"Munich agreement" - friday the 13th for Czechoslovakia.
My man Mackay in another solo war mission ?! I'm in
As a south korean, I'm deeply impressed by this movie. It means a lot to me about our country's situation.
After what they did with the Ukraine you are right to worry.
What is happening in korea ?
@@wachtel6552 north Korea nuclear
@@davidgibson3631 Thanks for explanation.
Are South Koreans that terrified of North Korea and the nutty Communist family that has been starving it since the late 1940s?
The peace between Britain and Germany lasted only a year and under heavy criticism Chamberlain resigns and enters Churchill , Munich document gave Allies the warning shot
This looks stunning. Always enjoy Jeremy Irons.
If I didn't think we were living in annoyingly similar times I would be really interested in watching this.
How so?
@@Jacobvb11 Ukraine.
I like the word choice in the movie. Especially when chamberlain asked “ do u think I changed the game?” I can feel like the audience and even legat knew the answer which is no, u just started a game. A game(war) that will cost millions of lives.
Tbf, Chamberlain probably didn't hurt much.
The course for WWII was set when the Anschluss happened.
Probably the only example in history where someone got blamed for costing millions of lives because they didn’t start a war. Usually it’s the fault of those who did.
George MacKay running in every movie, it's already a classic
germany against the czechs would've suffered like italy did with greece.
Terrain, forts but they also had equal and in some cases better equipment to the germans. Stalemate would've been very likely until the allies mobilised and joined the war.
Then why did the Czechoslovaks not fight?
@@thethirdman225 sudetenland was given away by the allies to germany, which was practically chechoslovakia's maginot line
That last line was epic.
"Hitlers secret intentions for Europe"?
Well, it should't be THAT difficult the get their hands on _Mein Kampf._ The book was freely available in every book store across Europe.
Jeremy Irons voice is iconic
This guy was present in two world wars
George Mackay…my favorite Lost Boy.
