Jaguar XJ220 is a pseudo-3D racing game released by Core Design for the Commodore Amiga and Sega Mega-CD in 1992. The car featured is the eponymous Jaguar.
The game takes place in a series of championship races across 12 different countries, with three races in each. The player starts in England but must decide which country to race in next, which costs the team various amounts. The player can also choose to repair damage to the car.
One feature in this game which was quite unique at that time was that you could create your own track, using the edit mode within the game. The game also featured a two player mode similar to the Lotus challenge games.
Jaguar XJ220 received good reviews. Amiga Action rated the game 98% and praised the intuitive gameplay and the inclusion of a track editor. CU Amiga noted that the quantity of detail that is in the game sets it apart from other racing games. Detail such as options, control using the mouse or joystick, track editor and manual or automatic gears. The magazine also noted the high quality sound, which includes an in-game CD player with a choice of six tracks. The One Amiga rated the game 85% and said that Jaguar XJ220 is an essential purchase, as well as it being better than the racing game that was popular at the time, Lotus II. The magazine said that the game was the best arcade-style racing game available.
Jaguar XJ220 got added to Gran Turismo 7 today so it is naturally a time to fire up this great remix again!
Strange to think that games centered around one specific car are so rare today, when they were once a common trend (albeit often with other models of car [real or fictional] as side options)
The bass on this track is just fucking killer! :o honestly one of the best Amiga remixes out there...
The XJ220 Is an exotic machine ,Ahead of its time.
Gorgeous Remix of our beloved Jaguar XJ 220 Main Theme. And one of the best Amiga Remixes iv heard!
Co jakiś czas tu wracam, to mnie inspiruje 🎶🚗🕹️
This car (and music) go so hard, feel free to steal
I made a reference to your remix in my review of the entire Jaguar XJ-220 game! Thanks for the great track!
Nice remix. The Amiga version of XJ220 had some great music.
Nice remix! :) Fine and relaxing :)
An absolute favorite remix. I love blasting it while racing in real life.
SIMPLY THE BEST!!!
Thank's a lot!
With LOVE from Russia!
Hey guy's I'm BACK in 90's when I was 12 years old, and play this game all day & all night.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
DMITRIY GALKINE.
Haha dangggg, I loved this video!! Very very nice.
So many memories brought back alive =D
Thanks for making this video, keep up with the good work!
Really excellent job Luther! Never listened to the Amiga original that much (Its well done, but just something about the lead instrument I'm not a fan of). But I love the trancy pluck you've replaced the lead with in your remix, great modern beat, nice use of compression around those slick choards, makes so much difference - I can't stop listening to it!!
5/5
Great remix!
FANTASTIC!!!!
wow sounds gr8. I think it's awesome remake of the original version. It's just what Martin Iveson wanted to sound like :)

Amazing remix, but I still loves the original, good job, waiting for the next remix, thankyou
Thanks a lot :) I love this remix too, I can listen to it on and on :)
Awesome I've subscribed
amazing!
I remember playing this with my bro in 2 player mode, because Lotus III wasnt working on my A1200. The gameplay was really decent and whats more computer players were hard to beat unlike in LIII where you were just passing them one by one like cones...
Wow!
5/5
Thanks a lot for very kind comment :)
That's mine remix! ^^
Your sound colours are nice, but keeping all four beats emphasized is kinda useless in this song. I know, half beat in straight four-fourth counts is really eighties style, but the track needs it imho. I'd drop the volume of the drums a little as well, I find them too dominant, since they swallow the background harmony. But that's just my 2 cents.
Remake from the Sega Mega CD Version from Moody Breeze here: ua-cam.com/video/JOCrz_6QhTo/v-deo.html
@fmarecki77 Ha, thanks a lot :) If you like visit my channel, and listen to my other tracks, not exactly connected with amiga :)
BTW. why the heck did you post a comment to this video instead of mine, original I would say? :)
This looks like the Turbo Esprit game .
so sadface i havnt found a Heimdall remix between the list :(
Pretty nice job! but please... this 1:1 beat is sens-less... anyway - respect for the effort!
Played this game, dics brke down and could not load anymore game
I WOULD HAVE TO SELL MY HOUSE TO BUY THIS CAR!!!
You would have to pay around 500.000 Pounds to buy this car. Do you have a spare 10 bedroom mansion? Nice....
The XJ220 never cost more than £420,000 to buy, even when new. These days they tend to sell for upwards of £100,000... so not too difficult if you have an average 2.5 or 3 bedroom house to hand ~_^ .
Also: most 2nd hand supercars for that money can't get you comfortably over 200mph; some can't even achieve 200mph... even though they can cost five times as much!.
