This scam is called digital arrest where scammers portrait themselves as legal officers, take advantage of peoples emotional well-being. They triggered the scariest part of a person and which is basically that the person could be arrested or charged with heavy some of money.
A normal person like you and me under pressure could agree with these scammers and be victim of this horrible trap. These people portray them as some real officers showcase their ID. They often do the video call using Skype. They create the whole environment as such that it’s a legitimate original government offices under pressure, a person is not able to differentiate between the right and wrong. In this whole scenario, the victim is digitally arrested where he or she is under the surveillance of the camera. Even while eating sleeping doing all the activities a person is watching the victim, the scammers force people to transfer money into some accounts on regular interval and they tell that once they have verified their background and are assured that you haven’t committed any crime, then all the money will be put back into your account. All the money is with the government and it won’t go anywhere.
This way people give the money and at the end become victim of this scam.
