They should do quite well for you in that climate. Best of luck green thumbs up!

Thanks for sharing the tips. I’d like to get seeds from the calyces. Do I let calyces dry out on the plant or do I pluck them and air dry?

Hmmm, you might experiment with both methods. We always procure new seeds from the on-line sellers. Hope you have success! Cheers!

Are you harvesting after flowering or before? They look like buds that will flower...but obviously I'm not sure :) thank you!

Definitely after flowering, and often waiting a week or more for the calyxes to grow bigger. Hope this helps!

I ordered these seeds from Amazon and had absolutely zero come up . I was so disappointed . I am in zone 8 and planted them early spring . Guess I will order some more and try again .

We've had mixed results from AMZN. Might try Baker Creek or some such larger seed company. All the best!

So sad! I bought my seeds online and they bloomed but aphids and other pests destroyed them. I just went to share the link for you, but it says currently unavailable 😢 I bought back in April of 2023. I still have seeds left. I JUST planted them earlier today. This time I will be on top of pests!! 😡 I'm in zone 9.

I planted mine in mid May, they seem to be staying smallish still towards end of June in zone 10 Galveston TX... will the take off faster in midsummer?
