- This marks the finale (Part 3) of our experience at the Fairchild Tropical Botanical Gardens 25th Annual MangoFest. In this final footage from our trip, we try out the selection of Mangos in the tasting room & our friend & fellow UA-camr friend, Matt Reece (What's Ripening?) gives us an explanation of what a multi-graft Mango is all about. You will also see the display of Mangos from all over the state - hundreds of different varieties to see & smell!
If you miss the footage from the last two days, be sure to check that out as well. We got some great clips with Dr. Noris Ledesma & also toured The tropical fruit rooms in the Gardens.
We are experimenting with several mango varieties in our farm, 30 miles north of Tampa & have also installed many Mango trees for our clients in the surrounding area. To learn about our services and nursery inventory, you can find that here:

My favorite botanical garden!!!!
Great video as always. Gavin is da man!!!
Thank you! Gavin says thank you :)
Pete, Pink pineapples are a real thing Dol Pineapple had them genetically engineered to be sweeter than the regular pineapple. They plan to raise them in Costa Rica. Call me a geek about googling new things that catch my eye... I absolutely have to find out about it or it'll drive me bonkers. LoL
Looks like y'all had a great day on part 3 Pete, Thank you for sharing all of this with us! Love it so much!
🌱Be Blessed ღ 🌼
Glad you enjoyed! We have a pink pineapple here on the farm, not sure why I replied yes to Melissa about ornamental. This trip really was amazing. We are traveling back for one last trip this year :)
Awesome video, thanks.
Glad you liked it!
Another thumbs up, Pete !
Thanks Jeff! We'll be heading back down to the keys this weekend for some more epic stops :)
I'll bet you never thought you'd produce as extensively as you are or have this much fun at it, though I am sure it is still a lot of work...No later than this early fall...I hope to capture & post some video as well of my home landscape--though will be on a limited basis, as not my primary livelihood...and I am somewhat time-compromised. Thx again !
Jeff - It is a bit time-intensive, but we are workaholics anyways, so it feels like an enjoyable hobby at the same time. Please let us know when you do finally take the time to record and post some videos. We would love to see your space too & would like to share your information to help your channel grow.
Nicely edited
Thanks Melissa is becoming quite the pro.
Dude, my trees from this video are flowering now!
Dude, rub it in! 🤪

Great job of making me jealous that I couldn't be there. LOL. Since my son lives in Miami I think I'm going to make a point of getting there next year.
Lol It was pretty awesome! Good call the area around the gardens is breath taking.
Beautiful and looks like a good time. I may have missed it, but what is your top favorite tasting mangos? Great video, thx.
C C - we weren't too impressed by the mango tasting here (in case you couldn't tell by the expressions on our faces.) ... now, The mangoes we tasted the next day at Dr. Campbell's house were an entirely different story. It was hard to pick a favorite - they were all so complex & amazing. We uploaded a couple of videos from our visit there. His 'Orange Sherbet' or 'Ceci Love' might be our top 2. We used to say the 'Carrie', before we tried all of these brand-new varieties that have just been released/are yet to release.
C C - & thanks! It was a good time!
Hey Pete. Agree with you. Nice to very nice :).
great video.
thank you buddy
Oh man I wish I had those wild mangoes down here in the Amazon
The sour ones we eat w/salt or sugar cane vinegar. Put it in a drink we call Macapuno! Good garnish w/ leche flan.
That red pineapple is edible. Just not much flesh as say a sugarloaf or yellow from the store. I've ate it before, it's very sweet. Was told it's called sweet stripes bc the 3 stripes on the leaves.
Aw... I want an odorata... a grafted odorata.. so lucky!
My bro please tell how can I contact these folks so I can get some plants as well
What was the name of the plant that smelled like Orange Blossom and Jasmine?
To be honest I'm not sure, I believe it's some type of Gardenia relative. We should have got the shoot the tag for that one.
what was the flower at :55
How or where do I get mango rootstocks or/and scions? I live in the uk 🇬🇧
joerahman1 good question. Possibly the usda, they ship all over the world with the right paperwork. I’m don’t know anyone shipping out of the country in Florida.
Pete Kanaris GreenDreamsFL what’s the usda?
joerahman1 just look up USDA research center. Also TREC is a tropical research center here in Florida.

Island Mike thanks 👍😊
Banana blossom needs to be cutter after the plant some fruit cluster otherwise fruit won't grow.
An age old debate!
