      There are false positives as well as substances that are known to trigger positive. Those swabbing things they use on the Aussie version are SO INACCURATE its astonishing. Its like a wheel-of-fortune whether you get positive. They swab one surface, cocaine! They swab another surface on the same bag, heroin! Every time they come back and badger the people and MOST of the time find nothing. I would be frustrated wasting so much time due to faulty technology.

    I spent my new years eve watching these videos, best new years for me, I enjoyed so much, never been bored in new years. Thanks to you-tube making me watch U.K customs, it so fun to watch it, I watched tow U.K customers videos about 4 hours. What socked me was 5 people hidden under 18 wheeler truck form Eastern Europe, how did they got under huge truck, that is not normal risking their life to come to U.K underneath the dangerous trucks, I was sacred just watching them coming under neat the truck. So sad people risk their life to get in other countries illegally, so sad, they could have become handicap or disabled or crushed underneath the truck.

      I had been waiting to cross the border for 4 hours, by that time I really needed to pee. I thought thank God in less than 5 minutes I’m going to use the bathroom. Instead I was put in a cage for almost 2 hrs Why? I had two fresh (well wilted and partly dry) roses 🌹 on the dashboard of my car. After half an hour an officer walked by and I asked to please allow me to use the toilet that I couldn’t hold it any longer. She said bathrooms are off limit. I asked how much longer she said it be a little longer because apparently they had pulled over a vehicle that did require all their attention but that they would try to get me out of there asap. Man I don’t know I was able to hold it for over another hour. I remember I was Sweating cold and I seriously thought I was going to wet my pants. They let me go with a warning because I explained I wasn’t aware real roses 🌹 were illegal to cross into the USA. Lesson learned? Always have my women’s portable pee container and bag. If there’s no where else to use a toilet use it in your car. For those who don’t know they exist, well they do and they are tiny you can carry it in your purse even your pockets

    The two male smugglers did get caught and were not criminally prosecuted because the amount was not enough for the two to go to prison nor even court.
    The cigarette smugglers definitely knew ahead of time.

      It's about the context in which you have too little or too much.
      If you have very little cash but can show your genuine credit cards, hotel bookings, are properly dressed and speak in a a confident way that matches who you claim to be on paper, nobody is going to stop you.
      If you carry a lot of cash like $1000 but look like you could barely afford a meal talk less of a ticket to the UK OF COURSE you'll be questioned.
      If you carry $5000 in cash and look, speak and more importantly have records that show you can easily afford that and have a goof reason for carrying that cash (for example you live in a developing country that doesn't use credit cards much) they might ask one or two questions but you will not have any issues beyond that.
      The most important rules: 1. Be honest and a good person 2. Look honest and look like a good person.
      Whether we like it or not, you can't go to someone else's country looking like the dregs from your own country and expect them not to be a little concerned, lol

    Was leaving jamaica and suddenly heard my name announce to come up to the boarding gate .There i was told i was randomly selected for presearch. I presented my only luggage my carry-on. Normally i book my ticket, this was the only instance travelling i did not. Still wondering to this day why i was targeted for a search. The ticket was bought 4 days before travel very innocently because of an emergency situation. Does that warrant everybody being viewed as a contraband smuggler?

    • @Lemonade_Stand_
      @Lemonade_Stand_ Рік тому +13

      It can be. Often times people smuggling drugs book last minute and/or short trips. It also has to do with location, certian countries are more known for smuggling drugs. Jamaica is one of them unfortunately, so is pretty much all of South America.
      Generally when people are going on vacation or visiting family they book several weeks or months in advance and go for longer than a few days. Of course this isnt always the case, as you mentioned family emergencies happen or simply just an impromptu trip so it doesnt always mean the person is doing illegal things.
