Immediately cue fake tears, sanctimonious outrage, false claims and outright LIES. Immediately deploy the professional victim textbook and victimology textbook.
It's about the context in which you have too little or too much. If you have very little cash but can show your genuine credit cards, hotel bookings, are properly dressed and speak in a a confident way that matches who you claim to be on paper, nobody is going to stop you. If you carry a lot of cash like $1000 but look like you could barely afford a meal talk less of a ticket to the UK OF COURSE you'll be questioned. If you carry $5000 in cash and look, speak and more importantly have records that show you can easily afford that and have a goof reason for carrying that cash (for example you live in a developing country that doesn't use credit cards much) they might ask one or two questions but you will not have any issues beyond that. The most important rules: 1. Be honest and a good person 2. Look honest and look like a good person. Whether we like it or not, you can't go to someone else's country looking like the dregs from your own country and expect them not to be a little concerned, lol

Was leaving jamaica and suddenly heard my name announce to come up to the boarding gate .There i was told i was randomly selected for presearch. I presented my only luggage my carry-on. Normally i book my ticket, this was the only instance travelling i did not. Still wondering to this day why i was targeted for a search. The ticket was bought 4 days before travel very innocently because of an emergency situation. Does that warrant everybody being viewed as a contraband smuggler?
It can be. Often times people smuggling drugs book last minute and/or short trips. It also has to do with location, certian countries are more known for smuggling drugs. Jamaica is one of them unfortunately, so is pretty much all of South America. Generally when people are going on vacation or visiting family they book several weeks or months in advance and go for longer than a few days. Of course this isnt always the case, as you mentioned family emergencies happen or simply just an impromptu trip so it doesnt always mean the person is doing illegal things.
I experienced the same thing at Montego Bay and all I had was a carry-on and some alcohol purchased inside the airport. I went through the process in noi time; calm, cool, and cooperative. Not planning to break any rules so pick me anytime. I'm too old to be going to prison. Should be looking to be getting out so no, I have no intention of breaking the rules. Just PICK ME ANYTIME TO BOMBOCLOT!🥰🤪
That. Buying the ticket so close to departure gets people searched every time. It's ridiculous if you ask me. Emergencies happen and they act like it's a crime.
Destroy seized cigarettes for lack of tax is stupidity. Resale the cigarettes and include the tax, that would help fund the customs agency, waste of revenue and increase costs for taxpayers. This should be litigated by the taxpayers

I have an Interstim device implanted in my lower back with leads that travel to my lower back/bladder that i guess looks like an explosive device on the body x-ray. I ALWAYS get pulled aside and searched (who can blame them). But when they swab my hands, it ALWAYS comes back as me having handled explosives and cocaine. I don't do either. But I guess I would not have a chance of a career as a drug mule. 😢
Everyone’s suitcase has tested positive for cocaine yet none of them had cocaine in them or on the person how is the swab test taken seriously if it hits positive every time
It’s just an excuse to do an intrusive search. It gives them probable cause, kind of like how cops claim they smell marijuana as an excuse to search a vehicle.
They already explained it, cross contamination. Touch a surface then your bag or metabolically processed medications (like sweaty clothes) for 2 examples, can interfere with the test. It's simply a preliminary test, it's not conclusive, that's why they search
I'm so happy to be too old, too infirm, and too poor to be travelling anywhere. Between all the rules and the crazies I couldn't handle it at all. And not being able to carry cash is a new one on me. That is truly odd imo.

@@cherylgraham3004and if they destroy your property like suitcases and electronics looking for drugs that aren’t there how r u reimbursed ? I’ve had similar questions too.
After a certain age, there should be things you just don't do. Smuggling drugs is one of those foolish things.
GREED will stay with you to the grave.
@@MrFriesz Amen! Good but sad point.
Desperate and stupid people has no color no age.
Yeah ! What is this thing with her finger up and saying something about Hilary ???
25k lbs of cocaine in a laptop?! Is that Hermione's laptop? Helluva lot of space!
No, it was $25,000 worth.
Lol !!!
😂😂
They make up the value. Probably really like 2000 bucks
Lol
Its jail cells in the airport 😂😂😂 you damn smugglers have earned yourselves a 🛏️ at the airport with no layover!
Immediately cue fake tears, sanctimonious outrage, false claims and outright LIES. Immediately deploy the professional victim textbook and victimology textbook.
Gangsta Grandma. What a wasted culture.
Im so glaad i stay in the states because i be damned if i had to got thruu all this just to travel.
So for the UK purposes, Poor people cannot travel. And traveling with cash makes you a nefarious person.
Riiigghhhttt??? SO insane
Exactly. Such an idiotic assumptiom.
Bye Bye Granny 😂
The last time I flew to Mexico, I had a bag full of pain meds that I was on after major surgery. I opened the clear bag to show them, and they just sent me through no questions asked
I never known, first them to check pain medication. Unless you packing them in your luggage
50:00 um where was the red for a positive cannabis test like is dude colorblind or am I?!😂
My bag got totally destroyed for bringing back 2 oz of degrees (those little silver balls you use for decorating cakes and cupcakes) I guess they looked like ball barings or explosives 🤷♂️

I’m good with stopping suspected and sketchy people but I’m shocked how many times that machine shows “trace” amounts of class A drugs and then none are found. I wouldn’t want to have even a trace amount on me so where does that come from? Could the machines not be being cleared from the last hit? So curious
@@im_cart8656 that is CRAZY! I love learning new things and while I always suspect that nothing is out of reach as far as what could happen to us as a society but how scary is it that through no fault of our own, we could be even accused of something. Thank you for sharing.
Well none of those officers seem to wear gloves while doing the swab....so they might be the biggest cross contaminators
I love these long episodes.
It's funny how the other passengers walking by are laughing at the fools. 😂
Amazing how the people act after being caught. Knowing how strick customs are yet they still are willing to take the risk... 😮
Destroy seized cigarettes for lack of tax is stupidity. Resale the cigarettes and include the tax, that would help fund the customs agency, waste of revenue and increase costs for taxpayers. This should be litigated by the taxpayers
Traveling with 1000 pounds is not a lot of money.
Exactly. Its ridiculous. All part n parcel of forcing people to use plastic only. Kontrol, Kontrol, Kontrol
Only rich people are allowed in I guess.
If I got attitude like that, you will never see a human being moved slower in a search
a sniffer dog that can tell how much money huh??? i'll be damned. i don't know what it's like to fly or go thru customs cuz...i don't/haven't ever done either but this country seems to be very proactive in it's efforts! have never seen this show before and it's been interesting to see how things are done in other countries/parts of the world.
Man, granny removes the wig and suddenly becomes a right betch
Should've used Reynolds Wrap brand instead of the cheap kind of foil. Sorry, but Bye Granny. Should've been sitting and enjoying your family instead of smuggling stuff.
Officer Hazel talks too much. Just get on with it. As for that poor mans cash, tax authorities seem to be the same everywhere - go after the small guy but wink at the millionaires
The suspicious Grandma got her weave taken away as well as her dope.
It turns out she's really bald! Lol
22:10 that officer seemed so happy to be taking that man's money.
When me and my mother went on a trip once from New Hampshire to Omaha Nebraska, we got stopped at the airport because my mom had a container of foot powder cuz it was summer time and they took it and tested it for drugs! Nothing like that I'd ever happened to us before so it was actually pretty funny
I do not like that the luggage is removed to another area to be searched.
It must be done right there and then.
Grandma too old to be a drug dealer Now who has thrown their grandma under the bus She too old to go to prison how she gonna clean her dentures now 😆
Salute all customs personnels. For a job well done every single day. God bless
If they destroy your personal items like a phone or laptop and find nothing... who will replace the items?
Nobody baaabbyyyy 😂😂😂
You simply file a claim with TSA.
That's so rediculous taking people's money
i’m terrified of dogs so even being innocent would be my worst nightmare.
Ya gotta love the term Custody Suite 😂 How sweet & proper
24:40 ❤😂😊
Lucyyyy AKA the

They just knew grandma was going to get away. Come on, grandkids 😮😮😮😮😮
Everyone’s suitcase has tested positive for cocaine yet none of them had cocaine in them or on the person how is the swab test taken seriously if it hits positive every time
Seems cocaine is just everywhere one travels for vacation, so anyone will have traces coming back from staying in a hotel.
Cuz the workers do cocaine
It’s just an excuse to do an intrusive search. It gives them probable cause, kind of like how cops claim they smell marijuana as an excuse to search a vehicle.
They already explained it, cross contamination. Touch a surface then your bag or metabolically processed medications (like sweaty clothes) for 2 examples, can interfere with the test. It's simply a preliminary test, it's not conclusive, that's why they search
And ?
I'm so happy to be too old, too infirm, and too poor to be travelling anywhere. Between all the rules and the crazies I couldn't handle it at all. And not being able to carry cash is a new one on me. That is truly odd imo.
You can carry cash, but I forget the amt.,….. it might be ten k.
@janetpattison8474 You CAN have more than that. You just have to DECLARE it, and prove that you earned it legally. Simple
My dear friend poverty is not a sin but a challenge. If you do Handel poverty well, and have vision you might get rich. Wealth is a greater challenge because it might make one pride and puff up and stingy. and make one think it's not GOD's grace who gave it. And that it is to change it for things( that lead to wanted to be a God's, or to controle others. God want us to be like HIM who freely SHARE of a FREE Will, not under any Force or manipulation. But give through GRACE and MERCY, showing HIS KINDNESS, not because of jealousy or envey or obligation. FREE WILL nead SELFCONTROLE in all to be truly GRACEFULL, forgiving oneself and others to Truly Show one love others. Those who can Fullfill THE LAW of LOVE also fullfill the 10 Commandmments, are also Bearing The HOLY SPIRIT FRUIT not sinless but Happy because they are Givers no matter if they are rich or poor. You only spend little money to keep your phone running, as long as you have JESUS THE PILOT, Kaptain ETERNAL KING HE can take you any where.
You can carry as much as you want, as long as you declare it on the form you get before landing!
Seriously! I came through O'Hare and they wanted to take me to a private room for a more thorough full-body search. I was wearing a long cotton sundress with spaghetti straps. I was running VERY late for a domestic connection, however, so I just raised my dress up over my head. Nothing but spankx under there. There is SOME power in my old-lady body yet, lol. I'm sure they still get anxiety when they see a long cotton sundress in line!
The lady with the nasty fish in the suitcases was disgusting!
That's why I avoid eating African food.
Cute sniffer! He's got a heart tattoo! 😂
The airport police stated if the same cigarette smugglers attempt it again they will be prosecuted.
People getting busted for cigarettes because the government wants their share of the addiction 🙄
I have travelled by ship many times, in fact, that is the only way I travel, and customs never checks bags this way. I find this very interesting how extensive the searches are when travelling by air.
Too much harassment when traveling so I don’t bother to go😂😂
Shame though, as you're missing out on a lot.

Wow. The treatment of the Rasta was absolutely racist. "Those clothes you're wearing, someone may have been smoking there," or whatever she said. Just WOW. Props to the guy for keeping his composure.

Whats wrong with having amounts of cash???
Tax evasion.
Some people don't use banks , therefore they would have cash on them
That lady with the cocaine in the laptop - knew it was there.
They got that wig up off her head too.
Thank you for the upload
When your control agents are in an international airport you have to have staff that speak many languages or use automated live translation. If you are clear and have clear communications, it's better for getting the information you need, including false declarations. Watching this video there would be many procedures that would change.. Yes inconvenient for some passengers, however much better at protecting our borders.
They do involve translators all the time... but how many different languages do you suppose there are commonly used amongst traveler's there? They use what they have available not even
This program is around 2008, good luck with live translation. And the got ten of thousands of workers. Where do you so find so much bilingual people?
If you think you are wiser than they are, you're sadly mistaken... 🤦🏻
33:40min I could tell you straight away he was clean. Looks like he gets harassed on the regular because of how he looks.
