      It's pretty much terrible immaturity for them to imply they should be let go because other officers missed their concealment.

    Sharks can't swim without their fins and suffer from significant blood loss. They ultimately starve to death or are slowly eaten by other fish. Most drown because sharks need to keep moving to force water through their gills for oxygen. Removing their fins is incredibly cruel and those horrible people are subjecting them to a painful and slow death.

      Incredibly cruel and those people will be held accountable for their treatment to the creatures and animals they have tortured in their time on earth.....we as humans are charged to care for the animals, caretakers of this world. Same with killing bears for their claws... I think it's disgusting how they behave like barbarians
      When i say held accountable, i mean from the all mighty...not me nor anyone on earth take that type of action, unless through the courts.

    The one that surprised me the most is Mark Lao, the obviously Chinese man with a fake Australian Passport. It's not that they suspected itt was fake so they sent him back... they knew he was forging a fake Australian identity and was using it to try and cross your borders. A fine and a suspended sentence? Zero jail time? I'm shocked. I expected 2-3 years in prison for a crime like that.

    • @spercwolf2985
      @spercwolf2985 5 місяців тому +13

      I would bet there is alot of leniency to deport people back to their original home country rather than prison, so not to make an international issue. They may be just an average citizen of their country of origin, but detaining someone from another country for a crime raises red flags with international relations. So the crime has to be pretty severe to warrant the prison time.

      They're way too accommodating in general (especially for the cameras?)

There was proof she lied about her birth mother whom she claimed was a Filipina and her Chinese father. There was no evidence that her Filipina mother existed. There were no birth or death certificates. Her real mother is also Chinese and they used fake birth certificates to make the mayor a Filipino citizen.

      I hear you, but when they know they are there illegally, they should rather hug their loved ones a bit tighter every day before they get caught. Don't be sorry after you're caught. Even if it was brief, they got to say goodbye.
      The officers were very kind and respectful to them as far as they can be. If they had no other places to be i'm sure they wouldn't mind giving them a longer goodbye. But they have other tasks and places to be as well.

    I have seen 3 people getting on an international flight Fiji-Melbourne with bags of recently cooked food in take away containers. About 8 containers per bag. These were their carry ons. I have no idea how they were not warned when they went through customs in Fiji. My 7 year old saw them with all the food in the departure lounge and said that he even knew that that food was not going to get through Melbourne customs. Yep, they had all of the food taken off them when they got to Melbourne.

    This is a fun show to watch but some things bother me. For example, the college woman that thought she only had to declare Australian currency, why did the narrator not say that the seized money was returned to the woman 3 months later? Why just say that the money was seized and nothing else out loud? Seems kinda odd to me. I think I might have to detain that narrator because their story isnt holding up. 😆

    How is it that an international student (1:24:00) not a native English speaker, not understanding the law on declaration card and not declaring 24000 $ gets fined 1000 $ and money seized for 3 months? Where as a native Australian (2:07:00) working in Japan as an English teacher, supposedly understanding the declaration law etc. and not declaring 38000$ equivalent of currency just gets a warning from Australian federal police and is let go? Does law apply differently to different people?
