To be honest, this is the BEST tutorial video i've ever seen for a perfect calibration. its very clear how you do step by step and and clear impormation as well. this video help a lot to me as a trainee barista. 😊.
Extremely clear and helpful guide -- thanks. I was also under the impression the grinder had to be running while adjusting the collar so as to prevent damage to the burrs, but I don't recall where I read that and now I can't find anything online to back it up. Maybe I imagined it. PS who can afford to waste this much coffee on purges and test grinds??
Very helpful information. Clearly presented. It really helped. Just cleaned my Mazzer (manual)for the first time. Resetting the sweet spot was a breeze after this video. Loved it!
This is great. I just want to know, the digits on the screen of the grinder outside of settings, where it usually says 0557 etc, what is that showing us?
Hi I've got a mazzer mini manual and I see your adjusting grind size when the grinder is not grinding beans. Is this ok? I thought I was supposed to adjust while grinding? I've wasted a lot of beans trying to look for the right grind size.
You do not need to have the burrs running whilst you adjust the grind ring, this can be useful if the grind ring is stiff but there is no other reason to do so.
I have this exact grinder. It was on the shelf for a while, but now using it again. I am finding it’s retention annoying and also it’s clumping level. Also, setting the timer - weights are highly variable. Maybe it needs a good service. Overall, I’m considering looking at newer options, especially with less retention (and a bit smaller!).
@@andrewfitzpatrick1309 I've been doing it my way for 7 years and it really is better for the small operator. We only make 6 espressos a day. The beans in the hopper will go stale and you have to weigh the ground coffee to make sure it's dosing the right amount. What a waste of coffee!
thank you kind sir 🙂🙂☕☕ on my way to become a COFFEE MASTER. (currently 5 years experience as head barista.)
What a relief to see this explanation! Thank you very much.
Sr,, I salute you this was the best guide video in UA-cam.

Such a great tutorial! Just one question, do you have to open the hooper lid to purge?

Number of shots on that machine so far
Awesome videos thanks heaps
the reason you run the machine while adjusting the grind is to prevent packing any unused coffee in the burrs. reference Java Jim in Jersey
Absolutely helpful
You are my savior!!!! I have struggled so much when the grind is too hard to adjust. Was never taught to empty the burrs🥲

Great tutorial
If your grind is too coarse, move the collar counter-clockwise, not clockwise.
Great!
It's really helpful.
Thank you!!! Very helpful and clearly.

How we can make more fine coffee

Buenisimo
Thanks so much
perfect
bro i didn't get clockwise and anti-clockwise
You will save a lot of coffee if you measure 20 grams of beans and grind them all and stop using the hopper.
I would not recommend this, the Mazzer on-demand grinder is an espresso grinder designed to be used with the hopper.
