    I've really enjoyed seeing Art in your videos again, but I also LOVE LOVE LOVE your day in the life type vlogs! Watching you cook for your family, do everyday tasks, and sharing your garden are my some of my favorite videos currently and from years ago on the homestead. You seem happier and happier in each new video, and that makes me, and I'm sure everyone else, so happy! 💙Love and continued prayers from Megan in Lexington, NC💙

    Hey Bri, something I learned this year from another youtuber (Little mountain ranch) while cooking in the roaster oven, keep a tiny bit of water in the pan underneath the pan and it doesn't burn. I did this with tomatoes several times this summer and IT WORKS! Thanks to Chelsea @ little mountain ranch.

    Thank you for the Homeschool suggestions. Learning to Read in 100 Easy Lessons is what I used for my girls and they did great on it. They are adults now but I was blessed with another daughter later in life and she is not liking it at all. I am trying ABC Mouse and Homeschool+ for supplements as per your suggestion and she loves it but it is lacking a bit in learning to read. I will give reading eggs a try. Thank you for sharing!

    I believe you get so much done in the kitchen, because it’s something you love. I love it too. I recently have made a sourdough starter and bake all the time with it. I have mastered the best biscuits I have ever tasted. I shred my butter, and freeze in half cup bags. I use buttermilk and I use it to brush onto tops before baking! Thats a must! I use 1 tsp sugar and 1 tablespoon honey. The recipe I use is on “damm delicious channel, sourdough biscuits “. After making these there is no way you want to fix them any other way. I bake them in my cast iron skillet not heated, but slathered with crisco, and I remove immediately onto a rack , when done and brush tops with butter. You can do the butter while they are still in pan but remember they are in a cast iron pan that keeps cooking! Best ever!

    Your children have a wonderful life. You are incredibly fortunate to live in your area of the US. I am fortunate to have a similar lifestyle in the UK. But, here in the UK, having this modest and humble lifestyle and size of property requires a property which costs more than 20 times the national average salary and a household income in the top 2%.

    1) you are good at showing other new ( and older…never to old to learn!) cooks how to use as much of a food product as possible. Sad to say it's a ‘lost art’ these days!!! (Says the older gal that in her 30s claimed the huge ham carcass with lots of meat and which was about to be tossed in the tray after an office party!)
    2) as a teacher (pub and hs) I loved that Wilder wanted to read a book at the table BUT also how you respectfully didn’t dampen that desire while reminding him that there are no books or toys at the table.
    3) good job encouraging the children according to their interest and gifts, but also instilling cooperation and love for one another
    Prayerfully for your family, in Christ… a Grandma. (Home sick so watched you as waited for my church to come online)

    Having the babies on top of the counter with hot apples and your back turned to them talking to the camera, electrical cords hanging from the roasters, you’re asking for some child to get seriously burned. Sorry, but that’s very irresponsible. Then when the inevitable happens it will be another tragedy. Some people learn to be responsible as adults, some keep making mistakes based on lack of forethought.

    • @terriberrie4917
      @terriberrie4917 8 місяців тому +2

      The baby’s are in front of her. Unless you’re talking about when she’s at the stove opening the biscuits? I see the baby’s are in there chairs when in the next seen. I believe it’s quite rude to judge how she’s watching the baby’s, especially when you’re only seeing the bits she has put on the video.
