A young girl has no clue she was at the center of a national uproar before she was even born. Carly is one of the kids born in the so-called “pregnancy pact.” The nation was shocked by reports that 18 high school girls from Gloucester, MA., all decided to have babies at the same time, in 2008. Almost a decade later, questions still linger about whether or not there really was a so-called "pregnancy pact.” Brianne Mackey was just 16 when she found out she was pregnant with Carly. #InsideEdition
Plot twist: they all have same father
Bob the Hat King: LOL!!!!
Bob the Hat King lmfao
His name is Cody
And he is homeless. What were they thinking??
They weren't. I'm sure those kids get bullied.
I find it hard to believe there were 18 girls who got pregnant in the same year at the same school but yet there wasn’t a pact made🤔
Chelsea McNally it was true but there was no pact the all just wanted to get pregnant and some didn’t but I guess it was a coincidence
Payton Caroline, but that’s like 18 people all dying in car accidents at the same time. I’m thinking that there probably was a pact, or at least some of them had an agreement.
They all just didnt use the same protection which was obviously none
Im from Gloucester and girls still be getting pregnant here. And for me I got my girl pregnant start of senior year
R3GARD
Sorry about that, hope it doesn’t affect your life too negatively later on.
They immediately go to the girls for blame.
What if the men had a pact or were doing a challenge
Fun fact i actually was watching a video once how these boys years ago made a bet on who has the most sex with all different kind of girls.
@Jasmine Taylor Or.. Plan B for putting it in her B hole so she don't get pregnant. A woman's butt, nature's condom 🙂
Jasmine Taylor Maybe the condom broke. Also plan B costs a lot of money.
@Jasmine Taylor 18 girls who weren't friends in a small town i live I Massachusetts and people have said yes the boys and fyi you're going back 10 years, 10 years ago here in Massachusetts you couldn't just get plan b unless you went to a doctor and I'm not sure but abortion was barley legal here it's not how people in my state think and if you see she married him and has another child.
koolk22 plan b is free through insurance if you go to a doctor and get it prescribed
That high school building looks like a shopping mall lol
Exxcuse me ? not really
Lol yeah it does though
OMG I thought the same
Omg it does
I thought the same thing haha
i cant even make plans with my friends
Isabella Wesson aww lmao
I don’t have friends
felt that
i cant even make friends

What is the cafeteria feeding them?? Hormones 😂😂😭😭😭
Ayad Noail Did you know that dairy contains actual growth hormones considering it’s meant to be given to the baby cow
Nah it was sperms
if cafeteria is serving animal products then yep, they’re feeding them hormones
Actually, yes
😂😂
When you take a pregnancy pact and you think it’s not going to work but it actually works...
you're stupid delete this comment

I can’t even get a boyfriend 😂

My towns biggest scandal was when 10 6th graders got chlamydia from the same guy
I-
Lol gross
and I oop-

um what
Why can’t people just watch american pie and make a pact that they will get laid before college!?
Halloween 4 because that's how pregnancy happens
Halloween 4 they probly did
Halloween 4 they did...they just wanted indisputable proof
Halloween 4 same but I’m from Bolivia hahah in Latino America
Well they did get "laid" as u put it before college. So it worked I guess
We watched that movie in health class😂
Same lol 😂 but I’m from Australia
+Plaza. 08 I think it was called, The Pregnancy Pact.
I bet that was freakin hilarious. 😂
We just finished it yesterday lmao
that is weird
haunted by it lol a bit dramatic
Alisha S lol, right? I think that phrase is usually reserved for murders and stuff.
Alisha S 😂😂😂 i wish my biggest "haunting" in my life was a pact that teenagers took in school to get pregnant
Right! It’s not that deep, it’s not like anybody remembers any of their names
Tanya B its not the first time teenagers got pregnant on purpose and it wont be the last...silly girls
Lmao spooky !
Just because you interviewed one girl, that doesn’t mean that there wasn’t a pact. Maybe there was a pact and she just so happened to get accidentally knocked up.
Or she realized now how stupid it looks and wont ever admit to joining a pact
Accidentally?
Or the boys started a pack
Pack 😂
I thought he said “was there a black guy???” Lol
Tiffani Farrington hahhaha
same, I was like
hol up lemme rewind that
he didn’t?
Do you watch 90DF?
He said black eye I turned the caption on
Plot twist: the guys made a pact to get 18 girls pregnant at the same time
So there was no pregnancy pact. So they're just all stupid about sex.
Stephy Sarabia if they didn't have comprehensive sex ed I can definitely believe that they all ended up pregnant because of misinformation on protection.
That’s me and my mom so ahhhh
I got pregnant at 19, birthed him at 20 so I wasn’t even in high school anymore, but I wasn’t prepared!!! I was in community college fiddling around with different majors, living with my mom, jobless....I thought it would be hard temporarily but now he is 19 years old and it was ALWAYS hard. I had to adjust jobs around his schedule and being his mother for lack of babysitters. I had some support from my mom and his dad, and it was STILL hard. I would love to speak at schools about just how dang difficult it is. Yeesh!!
I got pregnant at 17 & had my son at 18. I was so not ready. My son’s now almost 17 and we have always been like brother & sister. Sadly.
I’m sorry I was expecting the story to turn around and then you said it was “always hard” Lmaaaooooo 😂😂😂😂 I can’t stop laughing. This is what teens need to hear
2 things exist : 1 contraception
2 abortion
Without that, other things exist: stupidity, young foolishness, immaturity, religion.
Happy to be french! Our country is less retarded! 😅 Even a friend who wants baby at 16, she waited 18, 19 years, prepared, with a job and appartment.
all of the cheerleaders at a high school near mine had a pregnancy pact a few years ago and the next year at cheer camp one said “i am so glad we all found babysitters so we could come this year!” 😂
It’s crazy how people think having a baby is a joke not understanding it’s a big responsibility (when kids have kids) 🤦🏼♀️ half of them can’t even take care of themselves tf they know about taking care of kids
Thats why sex never meant to be entertainment!
Dumb girl had another kid a divorce....
The real reason this happened is very simple, and sad. This is one of the many areas where they don’t have a decent sex education program in the schools, and most teens don’t know what’s going on with their bodies, or the best ways they can prevent pregnancies, STD’s, and STI’s.
Weird. I'm the youngest of 4, 3 girls. As soon as each of us got our first period, our dad would take us to the doctor, put us on the pill and have the doctor explain everything.
I didn’t even like doing group projects while I was in high school. So I couldn’t imagine making a life changing decision as a group.
I think for being such a young mother, she seems to be doing amazing. It’s a big struggle having to deal with kids especially when you’re trying to put your focus on studying. I hope her the best in life
Ooooooohhh, so *that's* where all the "pregnancy pact" plots crime shows made came from
Hawkfeather SVU episode is my Favorite! When Olivia Benson says to one of the teens "Do you think that a baby is like a slamming pair of jeans" and she cries 😂
Sheesh. Growing up in a small, fairly rural Southern town I'm surprised my high school didn't make the news. 18 would be a modest number. I was a "late bloomer" getting pregnant at the end of my senior year. The early 2000s teen pregnancy rate was astronomical.. and people complain about kids being on their phone too much now.
I was a teen mom. I had my oldest who is now 8 at 17 years old. It was the hardest thing I've ever done! I don't understand how anyone let alone a highschooler would want to get pregnant before even starting their lives!
Honey, 18 girls in one year is nothing. Every year in high school I had a parent in each class, whether soon-to-be or not.
Hazel Grey it was a small school so
a 8th grade was pregnant at my school
the problem was this was a good town full of all white people and they never thought it could happen to them
My school hands out free condoms and birth control on Fridays and Mondays. Seems to be working cuz I know only 1 teen mom in a school of 1300
People need to keep their kids aware
When you don't think there's a second group chat 😅😂😂
Jessie Starkweather LMAOOO
When I was younger, I watched pregnancy pact, teen mom, and etc, and used to want to be a mother. This was about 4 years ago, I was depressed, and I felt Like a kid would show me love. I'm 18 now, about to graduate, celibate, and I have love through my nephew and god kids, but idk what I was thinking back then.
They’re blaming a pact when they should blame the high school for not teaching about safe sex .. my high school didn’t and over 10 girls out of 400 students in the school were pregnant in one year
Kahealani Nakoa not the school's job. It's the parent's responsibility. Parents need to grow up and stop having the state raise their kids.
Lindy Johnson you realize that many parents believe in abstinence only ? Besides how many teenagers would want to go to their parents for that
Lindy Johnson not all parents teach about safe sex, they go with the "don't have sex" route and then want to be surprised when little Sarah winds up pregnant.
Oh come on, it's not the school's fault. Give me a break. There needs to be some damn accountability. Plenty of us used contraception and/or brain cells and got through high school without reproducing, yet we all had the same sex ed classes. Clearly, personal choice.
how about raising people’s IQ instead of teaching high schoolers how to have sex safely
only low IQ ones cannot wait to lose it and then wind up pregnant
She was just left out of the pact, her’s was just a coincidence lmao
I'm from Boston Mass and my late uncle is from Gloucester Mass
I saw you comment on another vid saying the lady in your profile picture died cause of cancer. Bless you and your family
Omg I’m from Gloucester
I'm from Boston! Ayeee
Pamela Harrington I’m from cape cod, mass but I go to Boston a lot ;)
Sooooo is your uncle pregnant
What's to blame is our country's abstinence only "education"
Statically it was abstence only education.
Vincent Cuttolo I mean sure ignore statistics because sex is icky. Whatever.
Not every state mandates abstinence only sex Ed
Vincent Cuttolo stigmatizing sex outside of marriage doesn't stop teen pregnancies. In fact it makes it harder for teens to seek help. Also as society became more accepting of sex outside of marriage, teen pregnancies decreased
Vincent Cuttolo Sex may have been expected to be within a marriage but that doesn't mean everyone was doing it. Pregnancy in unmarried 15 to 19-year-olds in the 1950s was very high. Since then, it has been on a steady decline. This generation has the lowest rate of pregnancies in that group. In addition abstinence only education doesn't work. This study here www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3194801/ has found that it does not prevent teen pregnancy and may in fact be causing in it while states birth control safe sex or safe sex about birth control and abstinence had the lowest teen pregnancy rate. Also the concept of free love has existed since ancient times. In the counterculture movement, the concept while frequently associated with promiscuity was actually about how consenting adult sexual relationships shouldn't be regulated by law.
They failed health
Omg I follow UA-cam and tiktok I LOVE YOU AND I AM KARLEE BTW I AM 13 and live in Gloucester still
Not all teen pregnancies turns out negative I got pregnant as a teen but through determination I got a degree and I'm currently working my dream career.
HeWells Living and I know lots of girls who didn't get pregnant at 18 and have no job and no education. Yet no one talks about them. Good on you for working hard.
HeWells Living good for you but like mosy of the time that doesnt happen
my mom was pregnant with me when she was in high school & now she’s a nurse. just live your life & it will all work out (:
We had 12 that either had a kid or was pregnant by the time they graduated. We only had 150 in our graduating class too. That school looks bigger than mine so I would say there wasn't much that was astounding about the number of pregnancies.
Why was the town haunted by it? They need to calm down
I live near Gloucester and I remember this, I can’t believe it was 9 years ago!
The town is “haunted” by it? Really? That’s dramatic if you ask me. It’s not as if anyone was murdered, typical media exaggerating to get a good story like always
My high school had what looked to be a pregnancy pact, but none of the girls knew each other. They were also in different grades. One was a good friend of mine, she has twin girls doing amazing. The other girls I know gave their babies up for adoption since they were dirt poor and not stable enough to be moms.
Wasn’t there a “Law & Order : SVU” episode about this? Correct me if I’m wrong 🤷🏽♀️🤔
Giancarlo Giraldo yes
yup cause i remember Jesse McCartney was in that episode lol
Yes there was
Not one girl from my high school of over 2200 people was pregnant. We had comprehensive sex ed where we learned about birth control.
Good for you?
Eh surely someone was pregnant you just didnt know.
I actually watched the movie Pregnancy Pact in health class , and I’m shocked to see it was legit 😂
they showed us the pregnancy pact lifetime movie in parenting class at school😂
LMFAO 😶😐😭😂🤣😓😆
As someone from MA.... I remember this being a big thing than another one rumored to be coming
When I got pregnant with my son 5 of my friends were pregnant too. And my mom was too around the same time. Wasn't planned was honestly coincidence. This occurs a lot.
How old where you
Thats why sex never meant to be entertainment!

Is that a school or Target?
There was a pregnancy pact between 4 girls at my high school.
Merissa Hatch did they all go through with it?
Four girls were pregnant during my graduation from high but none of them were friends and one was 6 months along, one four months, one three, and the other was two months.
Weeeeak
This might make a good segment on that reality show "What Would You Do?". The plot I'm thinking of has four pregnant teens trying to push a fifth girl into getting pregnant while the fifth girl is openly objective of it.
18 here ahhh
Honestly at this point when does lifetime not make a TV movie about every inside edition story
It’s not as bad as a 12 year old getting pregnant and having the kid at 13, that’s what happened in my old school and she just recently gave birth.
She kept the kid.
She was 13.
Same. I was in 8th grade when a girl got pregnant and lied and said for 6 months she didnt know. And by the time we graduated she had 5 kids. And guess what? She doesnt have any of them because shed rather be on drugs than raise her kids
Brianna Damn. I can understand being young and choosing not to have a kid that you didn’t want, but having 5 of them and not having because of drugs? That’s just messed up. I hope the kids don’t grow up to question who their mom was because i think they’d be disappointed.
Very Gay Boi exactly. Shes tried to get custody of them back but can never pass the drug test. And honestly i hope those kids see what drugs can do and learn from that. Growing up with messed up parents myself, it either makes or breaks you.
Just 18? Please at my school you had at least 3 pregnant girls in each class they even had a daycare for the moms and had a parenting class for pregnant girls literally everywhere you walked you saw someone pregnant, one of my close friends was pregnant and I even went to go see her in the hospital
Why can’t teens just be irresponsible anymore? Lol They didn’t use protection, it doesn’t mean it was all a part of some plan. They just acted without thinking.
Taylor Joos Nope. They ligamently got pregnant with the same man. They ain't dumb, just crazy.
Pink wait they did ?!
Yeah. They all got pregnant at the same time. All 18 of them.
It's ok to make mistakes but it's not ok to be irresponsible when it causes your offspring to suffer immensely from your immature dumb actions because you do things without first considering the consequences of that action and how it could effect you or others like your future children
I’m glad Carly and her sister have good parents
Hi I am
Karlee and I am 13 and still live in Gloucester
Although I don't agree with having sex before marriage, I'm glad she seems to be doing well.
Lol our high school in 2002 had like 25 girls all pregnant and due around the same time. Our high school had a daycare and like the pregnant girls had to take special parenting classes and stuff. They had all the girls names written on a big whiteboard with their due dates next to their name, and it was no big deal.
Some people have said this story only made headlines because the majority of the girls who were pregnant were white. If it had been all colored girls, it would have been ignored 🙁
When they mentioned the movie Juno, I doubted I’d be able to find it on Hulu or Netflix but still decided to try my luck (I’m a teen mom and love teen mom movies) and BOOM right on Hulu it is!
That mom still looks like she's 16.
As a student at a public school in Massachusetts the lack of sex Ed is to blame for teen pregnancies, not pop culture.
This is why sex Ed should be taken seriously and taught in schools. You shouldn't take away contraceptions to try and prevent people from having sex, but to actually give them out to help prevent this stuff. No hate to teen moms, all respect
Lmao, Gloucester highschool's sign makes it look more like a store
Stop blaming pop culture for every problem teens have. You can't blame the media for your child getting pregnant or impreginating someone. Do parents not teach or monitor their kids anymore? The fact that most schools in America don't teach proper, and in some cases not teaching them at all, sex ed is also to blame. Sure the media might sway their choices but it's not their fault!
When I was in high school, sex was the last thing on my mind let alone teen pregnancy. The only thing on mind at that age was getting a driver's license & a car.
At least they got a movie made after it
“We’re gonna match them up with matching clothes!” *AHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA!*
How'd I know this was my highschool without them even putting G town in the title. We all know there was no pact but I can't tell you how many people ask me blaaaghg. We still have 5 pregnant girls at my school too.

Yup I was the flower girl 🌸🌸🌸🌸☺️☺️
This is really weird for me because I live in Gloucester NSW which is a completely different country
I remember this I lived in RI at the time
Honestly I don't find it hard to believe. My high school had a reputation for girls getting pregnant, not during my time, but the time I was born. I dont know how many girls got pregnant, but there were several kids in my class who's parents got pregnant while they were going there, so it was a joke that they were a product of the reputation
I remember watching a movie about this, then I didn’t know it was inspired by a real story
I live in Gloucester and I live near that school omg
I can imagine the pregnancy pact being one of those high school movies
Yes there was pact, and she’s lying 🤥
Pop culture isn't to blame for pregnancy, it's improper sex education. Abstinence doesn't work Nancy! Teach the kids about condoms and birth control.
I’m from MA, and never heard of this
Saw the title and was like tea ☕️ honey 🍯🙃😂
What a great role model to promote teen pregnancy, who aren't financially stable. What happen to the women's desire to get an education for themselves?
Uh... hormones... they make you want babies. I and my friends can attest to the fact that our boobs would hurt if we heard babies cry. Years later when I had my own child, I finally knew what that pain was. The let down reflex.
I'm so glad that urge to have children doesn't reside in me
14104 x1 Same 😂 They scare me instead
Jairo Herrera i understand where you’re coming from but most people don’t plan on it. i am the result of a teen pregnancy, i’m 14 years old & i turned out perfectly fine. my mom is a nurse, my dad works in IT & i am double accelerated in school. our lives worked out but just a little later than others.
Wow. Real sexist of you.
😩 girls no no no no no, please be safe and wait until you're out of education!
The people in the town act like there was a mass murder in there town.
She's sitting there with a smirk on her face
i’m so glad she got married to her baby daddy
They’re divorced now
That’s a true story!!
Ikkkk that’s meee
One of my favorite Lifetime movies!
That sounds like an excuse to not go to school
She seems immature still to this day.
Why tf?😂
The movie made me cry
My school in 2001, had two 12 year old pregnant. Thats 7th grade. Then freshman year we had 10 girls, sophomore year we had 22
I go to the biggest high school in Kansas and we have way more pregnant girls than that
I think this is a small school. That is why it so wierd
Gloucester is a small town with only this one high school which is also small. There’s about 800 students there each year so 18 girls pregnant is fairly high. I went to a school with 1500 students and there were only 3 pregnancies or so the year I graduated. Much less in comparison.
Mess. I still remember this movie and still remember how ridiculous this story, is. Kids and their "trends," nowadays.
"Gloucester, Massachusetts" is such a weird phrase to me
Is that really big news? I mean honestly, if a group of friends all want to have kids at the same time, if they’re ready it’s their choice.
There's also a Glosester High School in Ottawa, Canada😂
There’s one in the state of Virginia too
I'M FROM PLYMOUTH
i don’t think there was a pact but i do think that a wave of baby fever was in that school and the fact that they didn’t have a proper sex education made it easier for that to happen
It was called being in heat 😉
Why would a school official tell the magazine. That's just rude
Wow
The boys could have had a pact 😂
Beautiful daughters ❤️
Thanks your pretty too 😍
I was born in Massachusetts in Manchester which is next to Gloucester and I went to school there until last year and I moved to Boston last year and I had no idea until now
Also they were interviewing people in my families favorite breakfast restaurant 😊
