The Moon song from Duck tales NES game... my mom used to hum it when I was a kid because she played the game with me heh... these lyrics fit perfectly, I’ll see you someday again mom, Rest In Peace.
Fun fact for newer fans: This song originated from the Ducktales videogame, it's from (you guessed it) the Moon Stage. It's the most popular song in the game.
hey! i wrote some more lyrics to lengthen up the song a little bit -- here they are! Look to the stars my darling baby boys... Life is strange and vast Filled with wonders and joys... Face each new sun with eyes clear and true Unafraid of the unknown Because I’ll face it all with you… Look to stars and gaze up at the moon, Even as these day pass, I’m always thinking of you… Face each new day and keep your hope alive I promise I will be there soon, It won’t be long til I’m with you…
@@nouveauprofil I think it ended pretty well tbh. Sometimes it's worse to force a show to go on for a new season. Just look at SpongeBob. Edit: I do agree though the current state of Disney's movies/shows is pretty pathetic.
Being a hardcore DuckTales fan, this video automatically shows up on my recommendations, so of course out of curiosity I click.... ....and that's basically how I spent the last 24 hours binge-listening to all of your other song covers. You have such a beautiful, heavenly voice! I'm simply blown away! Long story short, you got a new subscriber!
A.J. Parker Pretty much what happened to me today, except it was from her cover of Prince Ali. I had summer math work (aka torture) and I was getting extremely frustrated. I just needed something to calm me down and the song Prince Ali was stuck in my head. The thing was, I didn’t like how low the actual song was, for it made me tense up. So I figured that if I looked up covers of the song, someone had to have done it higher. Her cover was the first thing I saw, and I was in for a surprise. Her voice is so angelic yet energized, and she also focused on the meaning of words she was singing. By that I mean that she put certain tones for different phrases like, “Does he have a zoo? I’m telling you!” instead of just trying to make everything sound vocally perfect with no emotional value. After watching that about seven times on repeat I could not pass the temptation of seeing her other covers, and I was not disappointed nor dissatisfied at all. Though none of her other songs that I have seen share the style of Prince Ali, I found that I enjoyed every single video I listened to. Each had their own unique feeling to them, courtesy of Anna. She really knows how to transform a song. Her range and control are absolutely marvelous, and I cannot even begin on the actual sound of her voice because then I’d end up typing this for hours. All ranting aside, her work is absolutely stunning and I absolutely cannot wait to hear more.
I really loved Della in the new DuckTales and this just made me love her more. Just a mom doing what any good mom should, promising to be there for them. No matter how far away she was

As a guy that is getting old and loves the NES game and grew up with this song. This lullaby cracks an old man's heart. Everytime I hear it, it makes me tear up and your cover of it is absolutely beautiful.
Here after the Ducktales finale. What an incredible show and what a beautiful song. I cannot listen to pretty much any variation of the moon theme without crying now. This is a marvelous cover. Excuse me while I cry some more.
I have had trouble sleeping through the night since I was around 10 years old. Falling asleep, staying asleep, and even huge amounts of nightmares were problems I faced. Nothing I did helped. But once I found this recording of you singing this song, I’ve been using it as a lullaby before I go to bed for the night and I’ve been having an easier falling asleep and staying asleep and my nightmares are nowhere near as common. This song, being sung by you, means a lot to me. Thank you for this! :)
I just realized, 3 months later, I never mentioned how long ago it was that I was 10... I've recently turned 23, so that's nearly 13 years of sleep issues. And this song has been the first thing to help. I still don't fully sleep as well as a person is supposed to, but there has definitely been a steady increase of me sleeping well, having an easier time falling asleep, and staying asleep once I am asleep when listening to this song before bed every night. Nightmares have been reduced a lot, too. Even more so than when I posted my original comment. I want to once again thank you for singing this, it's been very helpful for me and means a lot.
OMG Anna, this is the best cover you've done yet, like always you did such a sensational and miraculous job performing this song make no mistake about it, major props to you my friend, in fact you sang this song so beautifully, Della/Paget Brewster herself would be proud.
Im balling my eyes out, the ducktales nes game and cartoon are to this day my favorite media. The moon theme is already SO special to me. This is pure magic.
The lyrics of this song make me tear up and the back track makes me feel like a little kid again, playing the NES Ducktales in the early 90's while sitting on my older brother's lap as he teaches me the buttons.
at first i thought it was gonna be some sort of calm, music box-like lullaby version of the moon theme that della sang when trying to get off the moon herself, but the moment the singing came, i was close to crying the second time due to the fact that i listened to this yesterday after watching the whole episode. (which kinda makes it the third/fourth time i listened to the lullaby, except i only cried the second and third time since the first time i only saw like a clip of the lullaby-)
Thank you for covering this, and for adding more lyrics. I lost my mom a few years ago, and the first time I heard the original, it helped me, but I wanted more. After finding your song, I've been able to listen to it while thinking of her and remembering her. I can listen to it on loop and it helps me admit how much I miss her. It can be hard, letting our memories come to us. I don't always know if I'm doing right by her, but I try. And music like this helps me feel like I'm having moments with her in some way again. So thank you for sharing this.
I absolutely love how they took a song from the original video game and made it into such an emotional wrecking ball. Thank you so much for covering this!
Who would have thought that the new Ducktales series would use the melody from the videogame... How frigging brilliant is that? More, the whole lore of other saturday morning cartoons is thrown in there as well ald comics. What a great series it was.
Well, Paget Brewster's performance sounded like she was almost going to burst into tears singing it (the way her voice cracks at the end at the same time that her on-screen character tears up). That's not just singing, that's *acting*. And she *nailed it*.
It's pretty incredible. I imagine the creator of the song didn't expect this tune to go as far as it did. He's probably out there somewhere listening to this and going "wow" even if he doesn't understand the words.
Wow, extremely beautiful cover! Brought tears to my eyes. That says everything! The second verse is so beautiful, and your vocal fits really well with this song. I can imagine Della singing this while on the moon.
Ever since I played the NES game in the 90's, this song has always been an upbeat song that just pumps me up... Today it has transformed to something calm, suiting and beautiful.
Those lyrics combined with the majesty of that melody have taken this from a Lullaby to a Requiem. As someone who has lost someone dear, made me instantly overflow with emotions. Thank you.
This version of the song really tugs at my heartstrings and really hits home with me, considering the fact that I'm often away from my family due to being in the military.
