- Compact water cooling systems (also known as "AiO") are really low-maintenance. But the one thing that you should do is refill their water - either every other year or if you hear noise coming out of them. Which is really a piece of cake - our short guideline video will show you step by step how to do it.

Depends on how much you want to manage a open loop system really. I've had great luck with ThermalTake closed loop CPU coolers and 3-4 years of use monitoring the temps and knowing when to replace. refilling is a whole other story!

guys have done it with vodka and it will dissipate faster. there is more than one way to skin a cat. antifreeze solution is the best - remember when the pump is functional the radiator does most of the work.
@@vikingbuiltbetter use what ever fluid they used - radiator is aluminum, cold plate is Cooper. To prevent galvanic corrosion using the proper fluid is required.

I have one. The coolant is just distilled water with some propylene glycol (around 10%) added as an anti corrosive/antimicrobial. Both are easily accessible and cheap!
Is it normal that if it's new you hear a noise coming out of them? The first option would be to fill them with more liquid, or first we should check if the problem is somewhere else?

What noise do you hear? Just the pump? You shouldn't need to refill the radiator at first. Your warranty will be good if you do.

@@SimplisticDeeple Likely a bad pump. Liquid cooling systems suck, the pump has always gone bad for me within a year or two no matter what brand I get.

Really, i must have my current pc for like 6-7 years and never touched the liquid cooling.. what usually happens if you neglect it just worse performance or what are the consequences?

Can the radiator remain installed in the system for refilling or does it have to be removed first?
The radiator should be removed to fill it to the brim and prevent air from being trapped.
I have an old silent loop 280 that occasionally needs to be shaken to get the pump to start (it's been in use a few years). I suspect it's quite low on fluid. What fluid should I use to refill it?
Dedicated AiO refill fluids should be available in any PC store.
Ethylene glycol, the same as the "old" style green coolant/antifreeze for cars. If you buy anything that requires mixing with water, always use distilled only. If it's just a small air bubble, you can top it off with distilled water alone. Propylene glycol is used in some custom open loops. Ethanediol and glycerol also work, but you don't want to mix what isn't chemically compatible.
Is it safe to fill it up 100%? or leave a little bit unfilled (5%)? but with 5% maybe the water will not circulate via the two flexibles.
Note the delta T is 70 degree C or 75 (water expansion in volume is 5 to 5.25%)
There is no problem in filling it up all the way. It is most likely you wont get the air out 100%

Hello. The Pure Loop comes prefilled, so you don't have to fill in anything. A bottle of refill liquid is also included, so you should be fine for several years.
Do I empty the AIO from the old liquid through the same hole? When will I know when to stop poring new liquid?
Just refill, don't empty. Add a little liquid, using the bottle's pump to remove air bubbles. You'll know it's full when no more liquid fits in the radiator.
The only issue that i have with my be quiet aio, is that the screw is in the way of my radiotor sitting flush with the aio holder (in the hyte y60 case there is a metal hold that seperates the fans and radiator and i had to slightly bend the metal for the screw but at least the screw could never in a million years come out somehow) and also, i think the wire for the pump could been placed a bit more concealed, but other than that its fantastic and looks very nice.

I got the Pure Loop 2 Fx 360 for 1 week now and in idle mode my cpu is on 50-65 degrees in some other games like ark it goes up to 90 to 100 degrees idk what to do now..
Maybe you didnt add thermal paste correctly or did not remove the seal before putting it on the cpu or maybe even not screwing the bolts enough.

I just tried to top up my Silent Loop 2 360 with the original refill bottle (was still sealed) after about 1 1/2 years since I ran into cooling issues. I did not see any air boubles but I noticed some white particles backwashing into the bottle as I was pumping. What could that be? Shall I try to drain and refill radiator and pump? How much would I need for that? And is pure deionized water okay?

Hey, you can use the coolant of Silent Loop 1 to refill the Silent Loop 2 but not the coolant of a Pure Loop for example. So you can not use every coolant for the Silent Loop 2. If in doubt please contact our customer service.
The Refill Bottle is it just water or some kind of special fluid and case I or you ever runt out of it
This is a specific liquid that differs depending on the product. If the liquid is empty, it can be reordered through our service.

AIO coolers always come pre filled. If it's not filled you'll notice your CPU overheating very quickly under any kind of load. Liquid coolers without liquid don't cool at all.

@@osisplus8735 Honestly for most cases they should be fine for years, probably longer than you'll have your system. Most of them come factory sealed, although some do have a 'plug' that allows you to refill them (mine did)
If you notice more overheating than normal you can consider to check but more likely it will be your thermal paste that dried out and needs to be replaced.

Hi! I have a Silent Loop 2 240mm. After two years (I bought my PC 03.2022), my CPU is overheating (over 90°C). I changed the thermal paste, and it was fine for about 2-3 weeks. Right now, my CPU is getting even hotter, and the temperature is over 97°C with only 20-40% usage. Should I refill the liquid in my AIO cooler? Is it possible that refilling the liquid will fix the problem? Will refilling the liquid myself void my warranty?
Hey, we recommend to refill our be quiet! AiOs after around 2 years. There is always a bottle with cooling liquid included in the packaging of our AiOs so you can re-fill them on your own.

Already filled. That liquid would only be in case in needs to be refilled.

Coolant for refilling is included in the scope of delivery. Please do not just fill in any liquid! Even coolants differ from each other and should not be mixed.

Faced a problem. Bought be quiet pure loop 2 fx (280). The pump constantly makes a gurgling sound. Not very loud but I can hear them. Tell me, if I add liquid, will it fix the problem? Pure loop cools the processor well and there are no problems with this. thanks for the answer)

how you understand that you fill at OK levels the cooling liquid? Also when i unbox this Loop is already filled for first time ?
The system is prefilled, nothing to do here.
If you need to refill it in the longrun, just fill it up all the way and try to get as much air out as possible
I tried to fill my Silent Loop 2, but it seems it drew out more fluid than was put in. Now it's even worse than it was before. Since it's a closed system the air needs to come out somehow, and screwing in the flask makes it so that it cant be refilled since the air can't escape.

it definitely makes sense to remove the water cooling system. When refilling there is a risk that coolant will leak or drip. If this drips onto the rest of your hardware, damage can occur. To avoid further damage, we recommend that you remove the radiator when refilling it.

you will know when the temperature on your pc goes up or you can take manufacturer word and do it every two years. i have mined using AIO and it doesn’t take two years.

My Silent loop 2 was bought about 2 yrs ago. Yesterday i had tried to fill in the new coolant(together with slient loop 2 when purchased) and when i opened the screw, there are some liquid leaked out....and i tried to fill in the new coolant but it seemed that the system is still full of (old)coolant such that i could just refill in a little of new coolant, then i closed it, and tight it with screw.
Q1. Is that OK to do so? It seems that the old coolant is still "full" and even some leak out.
Q2. Any hints when i need to refill it "again"?
Refilling is only needed if you have lower performance and/or noise.
If the AIO works good, its not needed to refill it.

You can drain the liquid, but we highly advise against filling our water coolers with random coolants. Our coolants are matched to the particular water coolers.

Not exactly. Just fill in a little bit and check that no liquid leaks and do the process again.

Wie wäre es denn wenn ihr mal zeigt, wie man die Pumpe von der Pure Loop leise bekommt? Die Vibriert mir den ganzen Tisch weg! Ihr sagt dass man die nicht drosseln soll aber das war mir egal. Selbst mit der halben Geschwindigkeit ist meine Temperatur top! Eurem Namen habt ihr mir der AiO sehr stark geschadet, denn die ist alles andere als quiet, wenn man sie wir ihr es sagt an den 12V Anschluss steckt.

Yes, you can pour out the liquid yourself, but please refill the AIO with the provided coolant, as they differ from one another.
This varies from case to case and we can't give a general answer. We would recommend looking online for systems with similar configurations.

hey I have the Pure Loop 240mm and need help. I drained all the old water after using the Pump for about 1-2 years and now refilled the Loop with the 100ml Coolant which came in the Box. When refilling I maybe spilled 10ml. Now when I start my Pc the Pc starts to freeze. any help please
I think the problem is that I drained all the Water and then put in the coolant fluid. I should have only put in the coolant and not drain it first.
Hi, a freeze might not have anything to do with your cooler. Please reinstall the Pure Loop and check the Bios setting including the temperature.
I got the Ryujin ii from Asus… also kind of regret it, I read somewhere you can refill them using antifreeze and that will stop devolving the cooling plate, which is said to be resolving itself somehow…

I have the BE QUIET pure loop 360 but after 10 months the water pump has completely stopped working, it is cheaper to buy a new one than to send it to the USA for repair, the product is not cheap.

becouse i use single . aio cooler i dont water inside. just a fan only direct. on my procesor. im not using oveclocking. its good to use fan only not to water it
No, it's not. The water is what takes the heat from the processor and transports it to the radiator where the fans cool it down. Without the water in it the whole system does not work.

Hi, it should be filled to the brim, so there's no such thing as too much (unless you let it overflow, of course ;)).

Not all water cooler does lose liquid equally. If yours is full, it is good to go.

Aber das System randvoll zu hauen ist nicht gerade gesund, weil sich die Flüssigkeit ja auch noch ausdehnt, wenn sie warm wird. Wenn das System im "kalten Zustand" schon komplett voll ist, steigt der Druck dann doch sicher so hoch an, dass schnell irgendwo etwas undicht wird.
Das ist kein Problem, da die Ausdehnung gering genug ist, dass die Flexibilität der Schläuche den Druck ausgleichen kann, wodurch die Teile der Pumpe nicht extra belastet werden.

Make sure the refill port is the highes point in your system. That will allow the air to escape.

I got a bequiet aio for about 2.5 years now and my cpu started hitting 90deg. I repasted, cleaned the radiator with a fan(no compressed air around), but it didn't help. However, I've noticed thdt only one fan blows hot air. Both fans spin in the same direction. Could refilling and/or cleaning with compressed air help?
