Jeev Kadgi Podi | Jeegujje Recipe| Breadfruit Rava Fry | Fritters

Jeev kadgi podi is a breadfruit fritters which can be made in 15 minutes. For good fritters you should use a matured breadfruit. Tender breadfruit does not taste good. Breadfruit fritters is also called as jeegujje podi, deegujje in mangalore and in kannada it is called Deevi halasu. Breadfruit are seasonal. Jeevkadgi podi are favorites to konkani people. Many dishes are made such as fritters, sukke in konkani it's a dry coconut based curry. Bhuti a konkani cuisine coconut and onion based dry curry. You can also make soyi bajile gashi - " soyi bajile" means roasting coconut on low flame "gashi" means curry.

Yes it works. But it will be more crispy. Bz Outer cover will be hard. Inside it will be soft. For binding Sprinkle little corn/rice flour. Otherwise bombay rava will separate when frying.

Wish you had shown how to deal with the sticky latex of the breadfruit. Even when we oil our hands and the cutting instrument, what should we do with the sticky pieces to limit the latex from leaking. I love breadfruit, the gum is discouraging

Actually for me cutting breadfruit is easy than jackfruit. After cutting breadfruit I just apply oil to my hands and wash. Jackfruit is difficult to handle
