me and my mom are part of the chao xian haha, the traditional customes do look very alike to korean hanbok styles esp since chaoxian consists of a lot of north koreans in china (esp in my moms region, jilin province, which is very near the north korea border)!!
Miaos in China and the Hmongs people in the US are basically the same Ethnic, Hmongs are mostly lives in moutains across different South Asian countries. From what I learned through my Hmong friends in the US, most of them came from the likes of Cambodia and Laos.
This is not accurate, China is very big, 56 ethnic groups, distributed in different places, south China for thousands of years is very closed, full of mountains, people can not communicate, formed different cultures, to be exact, Vietnam and Laos also have different ethnic groups, but they are to rule, do not propaganda. China is very tolerant and can accommodate many cultures.
Miao has a lot of other outfits especially those Miao that no longer live in China after they were defeated by Chinese. The name is Hmoob\Hmong same as Miao just that Chinese pronounce Hmong to Miao. A lot of Hmong\Miao lived in Vietnam, Laos, Thailand and Western
There's no such thing as defeat, Hmong left after 1840s especially after 1860s, there's no war against you, you left just as Han and Iu Mien\Akha left. Most Hmong groups stay in China till today, and "Hmong" or "Mong" are just two pronunciations of all the dialects, there're Ah Hmong\Meng, and Meu etc.
Debunking rumors! The Hmong people in the US immigrated to the US after being defeated by Vietnam in the Vietnam War. It has nothing to do with China. The Miao people are one of the masters of China.
@@arbs3ry Indeed, many Hmong people left China, while some chose to remain in their ancestral homelands there. It doesn't seems quite logical; most people wouldn't leave their homes if there were no wars or conflicts. Our traditional clothing is a living testament to our history. It's essential to clarify that discussing our history doesn't imply any harmful towards China. These events are in the past, and it's worth noting that China may not have extensively documented the presence of Hmong people in Western countries, Laos, Vietnam, and Thailand. Of course Hmong,Mong,Miao are the same I learned from my grandparent and many Hmong elders. However If you do have evidence there was no war or conflict between Hmong and China, including we just left and abandoned our homeland for no reason. Please do provide me info and documents. Again there is nothing I have against with Chinese. I only want to explain my Miao/Hmong who are not in China.

少数民族的英文应该用ethic group吧,不应该用nationality
一样的
Han traditional clothing looks way better, and different dynasties have different styles of Han Fu.
That's a rather subjective perspective. Every traditional clothing have their own charms.

Should be ethnicity not nationality
