it can be really hard to find alternative hobbies when you have been using gaming as your one and only hobby, but it happens. For me, I got heavy into painting warhammer models and it felt so much better to have the physical models after I could be proud of. I even ended up starting to dabble in animation and even though im total ass at it, that doesnt matter, the point is im doing something im interested in and not burning myself out doing the same thing until I become miserable and depressed. now I have a rotation of hobbies that I take turns burning out on lmfao, but it somehow works and im much more content in general.
Absolutely, you're never going to not have burnouts no matter what you do. But like you said, having a range of hobbies keeps you productive and balanced in life.
Since I became a father, both my desire and available time to play video games has also decreased. Often, I find myself wanting to do something tangible which I can be proud of. So you're not alone there.
literally just started a break now. Just nothings hitting, can't find anything that scratches any itch I have. Ive just been playing halo super casually between bouts of producing music
@Sysilo Yeah fuck that. It's a genre I've become more distant from overtime. I prefer Sandbox based experiences more nowadays, can go at your own pace and make your own stories.

I needed to hear this. Thank you.
@chickencat5520 All good man. Breaks don't have to always be permanent. Just needing time for other things can be the fix.

Beautifull video bro, looking forward for more of your content. Gaming or otherwise.
RPGs are the worst to take breaks from. Straight up can forget 10+ hours of a game just like that
