I always turn this song on when I need to cry. It lets me accept my failure, as it's just part of the pitiful human condition. ~to fail is human, to fall is human~
When my sister past of cancer in 2011 this is the song that kept me going. It still reminds me that no matter how great and how strong that you are,you must know that your body will fail and fall to the earth and the mortality of such. The perspective of the living looking at someone who looked at death with no fear died and still won in triumph.
Prettymuch. It's a deep type of music. Not what you get on the mainstream radio or from whatever Hipster bullshit the zines or pitchfork or whatever is selling. It's music for the human soul.
saw this comment years ago and i really felt for you. now it's my turn. cancer took my mom and here i am reminding myself that to fall is human. but i do weep.
Whenever I fuck up, this song always makes me smile because it indeed does remind that everybody fails or fucks up. It's human nature. it stops me from feeling like a total failure in life. DI6 and Tibet's music have definitely gotten me through some tough times in my life.
"Oh, do not weep All of this passing To fail is human To fall is human To hope is human Do not weep As the sound disappears, As the rain falls, As the sky parts, As my tears fall, Do not weep I shall wait for you." Daedalus broken Daedalus falling Do not wept, All this is passing. This makes me full of joy
I have heard this song 100, 200 300 times from 1992, and still it sounds in 2013 like always. Out of time, out of fashions, out of styles...This is not a song is a hymn to the life and death.
It seems songs from Symbols and Roseclouds featuring David Tibet are all missing from streaming. These two albums haven't been reissued physically probably for the same reason, instead we got a compilation of the non-Tibet songs.
There, over there Has gone, goes and will go The copper sun Tarnishes with the year's tears The golden golden copper sun Old eldest dead Over the blue milky seasky Loss and lost and losing Do not wept All this is passing All the birds wing and fall Through the heavens The cloudy clouds Of snow of dew and of smoke A shuddering reflection Vanishing with the dropped stone Oh, I wait under the spaces Under the molten starrain The flashing falling planets Do not wept All this is passing So high I could come So far I shall fall Daedalus broken Daedalus falling By the toothstones His shapes bends And makes s smiling bow He careers and spiral down Falls He waves words of farewell " Oh, do not weep All of this passing To fail is human To fall is human To hope is human Do not weep As the sound disappears As the rain falls As the sky parts As my tears fall Do not weep I shall wait for you" Daedalus broken Daedalus falling Do not wept All this is passing...
so beautiful... this is a joy for me, it makes me comfort this took me to the places that only exist in my mind.... que joyita, me lleva a lugares k solo existen en mi cabeza...un gran consuelo
This song is so beautiful and cheers me up in a wierd but good way I think the Deadalus falling (and rising is a metaphor) My take is that this song takes place after Icarus dying, and is him singing to his father that he shouldn't mourn his death, because its a part of life and that he is in the afterlife waiting for him. The part where the song goes "Daedalus falling By the toothstones" is his father breaking down at his son's grave and the title Daedalus rising is him rising up again after realizing 'all this is passing"
This is seriously a bases song by them though. Super underrated material. I know it was "problematic" or whatever but original era neofolk is really underrated in punk/metal.

~to fail is human, to fall is human~
Everything is failure, nothing lasts forever, only presence is eternal
to hope is human :-)

There's a lot we can learn from this music that human words simply cannot tell.

In a bed mood this song can make it worse, but in a good mood it almost gives me a feeling of happy acceptance.

Extremely gorgeous. I remember listening to this song in very dark times throughout my life.
"Do not weep/All this is passing"; great line.
Truly one of the best neofolk tracks.
i don‘t think any song has ever meant so much to me
"Oh, do not weep
All of this passing
To fail is human
To fall is human
To hope is human
Do not weep
As the sound disappears,
As the rain falls,
As the sky parts,
As my tears fall,
Do not weep

One of my very very favorite songs ever...
This is definitely one of the best musics around ever created. It`s like a bullseye on the darkest emotions within our souls.

Sung by Tibet from C 93, they were good friends, and the same with Tony Wakeford
death in june y coil mis bandas favoritas de todos los tiempos.
Nobody, this is a masterpiece.
Beautifull.
Failure is part of the human condition. Never forget that. Everyone falls.
Best lyrics ever
"Cloudy clouds"
Pure poetry
A form of repetition
The golden golden copper sun.
One doesn't think of clouds as being cloudy.
Poetic poety even!
You couldn't come up with anything even worse than this...
This track is missing from the streaming versions of the album.

i will never understand why this isnt on an actual album of dij or c93s
@rofo's very own side account on this website spotify omits a lot of stuff from various bands, their discographies are never reliable

This and "This is not Paradise" seem to be in some ways "out" of this recording. But, nevertheless, they are among the best pieces of DIJ.
Overwhelmingly beautiful, but i don't understand why Daedalus instead of Icarus
Maybe because he was an enginer I think so like the the enginer of the world is falling as is the world
Kinda want lingua Ignota to cover this
