I first saw these guys in 2008 opening up for Lamb of God and Metallica. I was 11 and was floored by the amazing talent in this band. it wasn't until they released L'enfant Sauvage that I heard them again. Now when their new album comes out I will have the entire Gojira discography. These guys changed how I viewed playing guitar and metal as a whole. Easily one of my favorite bands
I am so sad I didn't start listening to metal earlier. Metallica, Lamb of God and Gojira are my 3 favorite bands. I would kill to see that tour again!
I saw them too on that tour. I was 12 though.
Joe Duplantier a dit un jour : "Notre musique est quelque chose de spécial à écouter. On nous demande souvent si on fait du bruit ou si on essaie d'être originaux. La particularité de notre musique c'est qu'il faut l'écouter plusieurs fois pour trouver la mélodie et aimer ce que l'on fait, mais ça prend du temps !"

Everytime I see what Mario does on percussions, I can't seem to close my jaw because of the awe. This guy is AMAZING! Just like all the rest of the band. I'd love to see them live next time, HAIL GOJIRA!
