Prince Solomon, with his closest man, Ibrahim Pargam Ibrahim receives the bad news in a hunt. His father Yavuz Sultan Selim Khan passed away. Prince Suleyman sets out for Istanbul without waiting. Prince Süleyman quickly reaches the capital. He attends the culus ceremony without waiting. His life changed in one day. He started his life as Sultan Süleyman.
Meanwhile, a galley loaded with slaves coming over the Black Sea is heading towards Istanbul. The hottest of the slaves is not yet aware that he is on a journey that will change his destiny. He is rebelling helplessly to return.
Sultan Süleyman wants to show what kind of sultan he is by the commands he gave on the first day of his sultanate. But not everyone will like these decisions. Sultan Süleyman does not hesitate to challenge all of Europe with the messages he sends.
Alex, despite all his rebellion, is brought to the Topkapi palace. His attitude attracted the attention of Valide Sultan from the first moment. But it won't be long before Alex learns the rules of the palace. He chooses a great target. Alex, Sultan Suleyman's first night on the way to attract his attention. Sultan Suleiman's wife Mahidevran just arrived from the palace of Manisa. He is looking forward to seeing his wife.

Bu sırada, Karadeniz üzerinden içi köle yüklü bir kadırga, İstanbul’a doğru gelmektedir. Kölelerden en ateşli olanı ise, kaderini değiştirecek olan yolculuğa çıktığının henüz farkında değildir. Geri dönmek için çaresiz bir şekilde isyan etmektedir.
Sultan Süleyman, padişahlığının ilk gününde verdiği buyruklarla nasıl bir padişah olduğunu göstermek ister. Ama bu kararlar herkesin hoşuna gitmeyecektir. Sultan Süleyman ise gönderdiği mesajlarla, tüm Avrupa’ya meydan okumaktan çekinmez.
Alex, tüm isyankarlığına rağmen, Topkapı sarayına getirilir. Onun bu tavrı ilk andan itibaren Valide Sultan’ın dikkatini çeker. Ama Alex’in sarayın kurallarını öğrenmesi uzun sürmez. Kendisine büyük bir hedef seçer. Alex, Sultan Süleyman’ın karşısına çıktığı ilk gecede onun ilgisini çekmeyi başarır. Sultan Süleyman’ın eşi Mahidevran ise Manisa sarayından yeni gelmiş. Eşi ile görüşmeyi sabırsızlıkla beklemektedir.

Mahidevran is unbelievably stupid 🙄 acting like a spoilt female without a brain and dignity in front of her son Prince Mustafa who was totally confused watching his mother's behavior over a ring 💍 🙄 that she has mistakenly thought belongs to her. Fainting before Prince Mustafa over a ring was highly unforgiving behavior. The ring meant more to her than taking her son to his education class. Suleiman would dispise Mahidevran's behavior 🙄.

I watched this series almost a decade ago, as a child. I didn’t understand back then how everything was well thought in this series. I didn’t understand the depth. I am absolutely obsessed with this series. Vary talented actors and a wonderful script, really conveys the beauty and sorrow of this magnificent century.

Mahidevran should act better in front of her child. I never liked how she whines, cry and act crazy in front of her son. When I first saw her do that, I lost respect for her.
I actually kind of agree. The more I re-watch this series, the more I keep finding moments where Mahidevran truly frightens Mustafa with her outbursts of paranoia and depression. I know there are certainly times where she can't keep from being sad, but throwing fits, screaming people away from her, refusing to eat, and even lying to her son to use him as a tool against Hurrem...this is really damaging to who Mahidevran actually was.

Agree, I know it was difficult for mahidevran, but so did Hürrem but Hürrem never cried infront of her kids, she always cried alone or aksed her servants to take care or play with them take them away, mahidevran let Mustafa witness he sorrows and she even let Mustafa argue for her it's alright when he was grown adult but she did that'many times when Mustafa was kid and it caused to a lot problems, Hürrem children especially mihirmah started noticing this when she was adult and Hürrem mihirmah were like friends and mihirmah knows everything about her mother tye difference this small difference made into big difference

I couldn't agree more. Interactions at that time in history were obligation to create the next heir to the throne. The fact that they were able to forge a bond, much less fall in love and Sulyman marry Hurrem, who was basically a nobody is utterly amazing. They were both blessed to have found each other.
