This is the story of how the astonishingly popular QCX-series of CW transceiver kits was born and developed; technical design details; production challenges keeping up with over 18,000 sales in five years; the evolution to QCX+ and QCX-mini, and the future.
First licensed in 1994, Hans, G0UPL is a keen homebrewer who never owned or operated any commercial radios. After a 22-year corporate career in IT in banking, Hans now runs QRP Labs kits full-time from his QTH in SW Turkey.

I have 7 QCX Classics 2 QCX Plus and 1 QCX Mini radios. I really like each of them to the point I just bought another. The newest will be 15 meters. Each rig has a story of it's own. Bottom line is they all work great! Yes, some are same band but types of rigs are different. Best thing is I know how to set them up. Thanks Hans so much for developing these radios and providing me an opportunity to learn more about our hobby.
