Nice! Have fun with the game, it's a good one. I remember playing games like 1942 (the Capcom shmup) when I was a kid, but I only started to play them more "seriously" when I got into Touhou, which was around December of 2012. Though I don't really play them everyday or anything like that lol. Sometimes I even go for months without playing any shmup.
@@GabyTheOG no wonder you are so good! i was on the fence about getting into shmups for years, they seemed just too demanding, and well it's kinda true. this game kicks my ass harder than dark souls ever did lol. but yeah, it's surprisingly fun so i'll keep at it. thanks for the vid, very motivational!

I think a good way to get better at shmups is to play many of them, so it doesn't get repetitive when you're building up muscle memory of basic movement and hand-to-eye coordination when you look at bullets. And by playing different ones, you can also start noticing common bullet patterns and start developing common strategies to dodge them.
