This is one of the reasons I no longer have girls weekend. My husband didn't care because it was with my SIL and his cousin. But, on the second girls weekend they wanted to go to wineries and breweries. I went and took note of their behaviors. The next girls weekend they wanted to go to bars, but I talked them into inviting more of our friends over and doing something else.
I stopped going after that. The fact they would both complain about their husbands, more so my SIL, then want to go out party didn't sit well with me. When I told my husband why I didn't want to do girls weekend anymore, he said he was sorry it had to be that way but he was glad I was seeing what could happen if we went to bars.

@@BlackRosex80 I should have been more clear. I'm talking about him taking it out on Carrie because she's biologically not his. Affair babies sadly are an easy target from what I've seen from various reddit stories. They take it out on them like they're the one that cheated and that's not fair at all. Children obviously should not be anyone's emotional punching bag. He could have taken it out on Michael too for being "half her" despite him being his blood too, but taking it out on Carrie was the way more likely scenario from all of the stories I've heard so far.

Cheaters have such victim mindsets. The fact she cheated 6 years, had a child with an affair, & was still lucky enough to have her kids & have OP play the part in her daughter’s life blows me away. She has over 47 confirmed affairs within that 6 year period & that’s ONLY what they found from her “old phone”. The person who needed a second chance was himself, he needs to be able to trust himself again. Being cheated on tears the trust out of you in a violent and brutal manner that you don’t want to ever have it again. Letting yourself be able to trust again is so hard, but once you break through it is freeing to know that there ACTUALLY are people out there that you can trust.

    • @greysky8307

I completely get his reluctance, honestly if this story is fake, the person who wrote it has 100% been traumatised by cheating. The rollercoaster of self doubt and destruction of ones self after being cheated on is no joke, so many victims never fully get over it, some can't at all, there's a reason it's called abuse, the psychological damage is very real and is considered a severe form of emotional abuse, due to the depths at which the damage is caused, right to the core. Gotta say that Nadia is a trooper, but I understand that the guy is still heavy in trauma and frankly his sexual issues seriously need to be addressed by his therapist, I feel like at his current level of healing he probably isn't ready. That being said this could be just what he needs to truly heal.

As for toward the end of it, I really hope he does tell his daughter. It's better if she knows. It makes sense to wait til she's older, but then it should be her choice whether or not to look for her other family.
I've watched as my sister not knowing her father, I don't think knowing as a child helped but I know she wants to find who it is after she's an adult.

    What a story.
This one has got to be my favorite by far.
Seems like they're going to manage to live on, all three of them.
I'm glad for the daughter, the son will likely develop suspicions at some point as he seems mature enough to understand what a cop-out means.
That will be the time to tell them.
PS.: I'm so glad that the accident wasn't his fault or this could've all gone so much worse...
Despite my age and it being increasingly unlikely, I too wish to only ever give myself to one partner and that partner to fully devote themselves to me too both physically and emotionally.
I couldn't imagine being so fully destroyed by the one you thought you had the purest bond with, being each other's first partner, and it being by so many relations she had...

I can tell that the only reason he didn't catch her before was literally because he trusted and loved her so much. She knew for a fact what he'd do had he found out, yet she was really sloppy. Had he just looked at her phone one day he would have found everything. She really is disgusting. I mean... only for cheating so heinously.... Not for the body count because... it's whatever. It's not my bod lol. But yea... She was married and stepped out of it more than 47 times. I'm glad OP and his children were able to heal and are able to lead as happy of lives as they can. And I really hope all works out with him and Nadia. No need for wedding bells anytime soon but very very happy he is giving himself a chance to see if he can truly develop feelings like that.

You have made sure the children understand the situation in a way that is appropriate for the development. You have given your children love and things they need. They know that none of this is their fault which is important period all the best.

People should know Post Partum depression is an oxytocin withdrawal. This puts someone in a position to try and find oxytocin sources. This doesn't excuse cheating, but rather it should help those who have post partum realize they need to find sources of love in their family and not outside sources unless there is an agreement set prior.
