Thanks for the thoughtful lesson on dodging and burning. Just about to try doing this. Spring time colors are going to give me some new opportunities. Thanks to you am a little more confident. You're a great teacher.

Another great video, Anthony. While I have learned a lot from many of your videos and bookmarked several of them, this may be one of your best.

Thank you Anthony. Very good ideas on how to lead our eyes into important parts of the photo. I’ve been working on an image today & I used the radial filter for dodging. The masking/ inverting and using a brush inside the filter is a good idea that I will use. I’m always right beside you: & your knowledge along with your presentation is first class. Thank you. Hey Anthony, a suggestion: How about doing a video sometime on how you do your videos: tools, process, goals etc.? That would help those out here in UA-cam-land who might want to educate some themselves. Your videos are so consistent and useful I think that education would be very helpful.

Many people dodge and burn and don't even realise it. Using a vignette is effectively a very basic form of dodging and burning, darkening the edges to make the centre brighter where the subject is most often placed. 😉

Good techniques. I have to work on the subtleness part as I always tend to overdo it.

This is a really great technique and I definately appreciate you showing it to us. Thank you for the careful and clear way you explain everything! I do have one problem with it. If the subject you want to showcase is not in the center of the frame, when you double click it moves the radial filter to the center of the frame. Even when I try to move circle using the alt key, the "hot spot" of the filter stays in the center of the frame. How can I change that?

With the four blokes on a stair, is there a reason you would burn the background, rather than perhaps drop the exposure overall a bit then burn their faces (apart from being a demonstration of the specific tool you used I mean; I get the demo thing, just wondering about the technique in general). Thanks
