Hi Tom, I work for WISKA. Re-enterable means that you can take it apart to access the connections. We do make a version called Replay which can be taken out and re used.
22:24 I remember dave on eevblog did a video on that, in electronics its called potting material and normal it hardens like a rock. reentry potting turns into a gel so it can be removed later or if you have say a potentiometer or other component that can adjusted you can just slide a tool through the potting material, make your adjustments, and pull the tool out and it should reseal itself
Exactly, normal potting compound is a hard setting epoxy. The gel is re-enterable since you can scoop it out, make changes and put some fresh stuff in. Hard potted boxes just get cut off, binned and replaced.
Hey Mr Nagy - I can recommend "bioglan throat clear lemon & honey" lozenges for your cough if you can get them, they take the tickle away and if you're like me, does a reasonable job of clearing sinuses.
The PIR colums we´ve had here in Denmark for a couple of years. When any one column senses motion the five closest around it go to 100% for a minute or so. Its really cool effect driving along the inner city roads at night and being lit up as you go. The columns are still the old ones, so it must be new heads been retrofitted with the new technology.
Awesome video Sir Tom. When I heard you say Maccas it surprised me. That's used so often here in Aus that some of them have Maccas on the signage. Also good to see Aussie made Rode used by so many in UK
Reenterable refers to the fact that you can get back in the box, not the goo. Rather than filling the box with resin, and having an impenetrable box of plastic.
Love the idea of these LED street lamps that are gridless. I've seen what appears to be stand alone systems but a less sleek design. The only question is how northern can you place these in EU? Surely you need a minimum number of hours for overcast days but maybe these panels are exceptionally large for lamp's draw.
What a brilliant "RCD fault", never seen that before! Have you seen the new BG outdoor sockets? Much better!! Re-enterable as you can go back into the Wiska box afterwards without it being too messy. Good video Tom
Working in streetlighting I've always been intrigued by how those solar columns work. Do all the cables still drop down to the door and then back up to lantern or is everything wired at a higher level? Be great to see inside one next time you're there!
Could it be that the Hager board wasn't designed to have an RCD as it's main switch, and that it's been retrofit to give blanket cover for all circuits?
I had covid a while ago and got that annoying cough as well. Took what felt like an eternity to get rid of. It had turned into an automatic reaction when the throat got annoyed by essentially anything, and was sore because I kept coughing. A downward spiral there. Cough syrup and forcing myself to not react on the need for a cough eventually helped it. Not easy, so best of luck getting rid of it.
About the cough: I had the same thing. You get covid, you get better, lateral flow tests come up negative, but your throat is just still irritated and you keep coughing for ages afterward.
The term "re-enterable" just means you can get back into the box again afterwards (not sealed shut), but yeah it's not "re-usable" so you need to mix new gel each time.
Don't have the solar stuff but the walking thing is done in Stowmarket's train station, was pretty confused walking through it until I realized - all street lights should be like it tbh
Try the wireless Lavs. Yes it is something else to charge but just pop them your tee then dump them on their charger (ideally one charger in the van and one for work). Not sponsored; RØDE - Wireless GO II is decent
Yeah, the "Covid lingering cough": My wife went through the same as you. And, same as you, she didn't go to the GP - waste of time. Took 10 weeks for the cough to finally clear up. Weird.
Nott trying to give you a big head but... You are the best electrician on UA-cam and i enjoy watching your journey, so thank you for providing the content and Pre congratulation on 100k subs.
Theres a company over your side of the world that make a wind and solar powered street/ carpark lighting setup called OmniLED. And with your cough I had it for a few months after I caught the spicy cough.
To be fair you probably don't need to hit the pole that hard to smash the bulb. I've seen a number of poles at places like festivals merely get shaken by people arnd stop working due to the light being damaged. I suspect it's mostly just amplification of th energy up the pole.
The cough goes after a while, can take 6 months or so though..it's a pain but harmless...fluids help Keep the income diversified, especially with hard times coming. It'll help protect both you and your employees.
Isn't it said that people have no choice but to live in them literal shoe boxes where the only separate room is a toilet..... A bunk bed basically in the kitchen and sitting room all gel together..... Sad
For anyone here that enjoys the street lighting stuff you should check my channel out. Its focused mainly on that with a bit of domestic in there as well

re-enterable means you can take it apart again, as opposed to a resin joint.
Woop woop - so glad we're back to the weekly videos!
It's good to be back :)

I can see those solar columns on 20mp roads. Make so much sense. Need a clear position with no vegetation/building blocking the panels though.
Omg, that face when it tripped. Absolutely priceless.
yes Tom glad the weekly episodes have made a return to youtube
I recon Thomas goes around backing into lamposts at night to drum up more work. lol
Probably in the Ford
So pleased the weekly uploads are back 🙂
Didn't last long
That didn't age well. 😄
Only an Electrician understands our humour. Keep the tradition going.

I love and have missed you guys and your goofing around. I eagerly await the next edition of "Sparkey Malarkey"
Complaining of the heat….. wearing and black shirt, heavy orange trousers and boots 😂
Glad too see you back mate, the banter between you both is top draw 👍

As you say, very cool idea the wrapped solar panel.
Reenterable refers to the fact that you can get back in the box, not the goo. Rather than filling the box with resin, and having an impenetrable box of plastic.
makes perfect sense.
Another great video Tom and Team just out of interest where did you get the barriers and chapter 8 equipment

Good video Tom
It’s lovely when you cough and I’m wearing headphones
7:45 Armeg sells three different two pack either 2x 20mm or 2x 25mm or 1x20/1x25mm packs. 😁👍

Glad your posting videos again.
I recognise those flats in primrose gardens. I was there a couple months ago doing pest control.

A parking garage near. Me has motion lights, it's really cool walking or driving down and they all turn on
Just when you thought he was back , flippin' camera guy's takin off ! Just film with a gopro by yourself then Tom , we'll stillbe here innit !
We’ve had some of these columns in Leavesden County Park near Watford for some years now.
You guys are amazing and you do a good job and also you make the video more funny and laughter
New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton has PIR dimmable LED streetlights throughout the whole grounds. Believe a few are also solar equipped.
About the cough: I had the same thing. You get covid, you get better, lateral flow tests come up negative, but your throat is just still irritated and you keep coughing for ages afterward.
About a month then random, dry coughs for a long time.
Yeah it’s long covid symptom
One of the best channels on UA-cam! Thanks for the great content.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤡🤡🤡🤡
Our favourite spark is uploading more often
Had the coof cough for just about a month after my other symptoms cleared up. Still will randomly cough with that same dry sensation.
The term "re-enterable" just means you can get back into the box again afterwards (not sealed shut), but yeah it's not "re-usable" so you need to mix new gel each time.
I do the same streetlights in Norway, relatively new, so its in the test phase here :)
Great Content Tom enjoy watching ⚡️👊
omg it is like a dorm in there, just more cramped.
Don't have the solar stuff but the walking thing is done in Stowmarket's train station, was pretty confused walking through it until I realized - all street lights should be like it tbh
I remember seeing this type of solar powered lighting with the sensing I being promoted by Philips a couple of decades ago.
Nice move here Thomas moving into the work area
The street lights with photocells are so cool! Great video mate, see you next week 👍
Thanks 👍

What are the bit holders on your backpack called/where do you get them?
Yeah, the "Covid lingering cough":
My wife went through the same as you.
And, same as you, she didn't go to the GP - waste of time.
Took 10 weeks for the cough to finally clear up. Weird.
for the cough just take a squeezable bottle of honey with you, when you cough just take a small sip, works a treat.
Absolutely brilliant video! and i like the solar lamp post, im very interested if you could give the name of the company that makes them...
The solar powered lamps.... how do they keep the batteries inside the pole from over heating?
I was in the same car park as u were with the solar powered columns and there are pretty cool
Mr Cheese, haha i will have to remember that one !!!
Random question- Why are the amber grill lights on the new transit uneven?
Missed these videos!
I had Covid and cough the last for quite awhile it does go eventually but it does stick with you for awhile
Nott trying to give you a big head but... You are the best electrician on UA-cam and i enjoy watching your journey, so thank you for providing the content and Pre congratulation on 100k subs.
Armeg wipe the floor with the starret bits!
I have seen the zoned dimming on low trafficked "Highways" in Norway not seen the self contained solar though
You get the intermittent system in Fuel stations.
Welcome back Tom.
Hi Thomas, do you still do the discount codes for ITS or TLC ?
Thanks Chris
Wonder how much the solar lamp posts cost?
Is that a bed in the kitchen?
yes
Have you tested the wago gel boxes yet?
as a salesman from Chinese LED lighting manufacturer, this Solar LED street luminaire is designed with Solar Panel, Microwave sensor (0-10V dimming ),
Good luck with the cough. Mine lasted 3 months. Horrendous.
Are outside garden sockets allowed to be fixed to fences ? I just had one failed on an EICR.
Brilliant 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Brilliant video again mate
Glad you enjoyed it
The camera man going to work at Dyson. That sucks. Well their vacuum cleaners do
Looks like an indal arc.
Unless I missed it, you didn't say what you were doing to the solar lights?
So can you Bury hituff?
have you got another workshop unit yet
The solar columns look wicked I’m working on a school carpark with no power but I don’t think the school budget will stretch to those lights
Reentrable could refeer to the fact that you can use it as a filler, but the real sealing is made by the new material
Why On earth are you driving those massive vehicles round changing lights and sockets
Hi,
Just a question why do you or staff not where branded uniform? I think your logo on a black top would look really smart
Coming soon .....
My covid cough took 2 months to clear, so you may have a few weeks to live with it! 🙄😷
Studio flat 😆 the fucking state of the rental market
I just can't stop thinking of the solar pole lights, I'd say they won't last any great length at all......
the solar posts are a great idea but what happens when the battery dies of the solar cells fade, a new post every 10 years
For the gel, is it that you could melt it back down and re-enter that way?
Theres a company over your side of the world that make a wind and solar powered street/ carpark lighting setup called OmniLED. And with your cough I had it for a few months after I caught the spicy cough.
I love cef
4:07 My daughter has the same caught from a COVID-19 infection from *three* months ago. Damned annoying ain't it. 😷
i can see those solar columns generating next to no electricity
Goat

Covid Cough: I had the same cough after getting covid. Lasted about 3/4 months.
Think your confusing re enterable with re useable….. 🤔 it does exactly what it says on the tin

The cough goes after a while, can take 6 months or so though..it's a pain but harmless...fluids help

@@thomasnagy i was gonna say more than two locations in a day is busy. Thought you guys were absolute animals, and just crushing job after job!
