Hi Ben, very informative video, thank you. I just purchased a new M4 MacBook pro and I am planning to buy the new 5K BenQ monitor PD2730S as soon as it becomes available. Looking forward to your review on that one. Carl 🇦🇺
You should change the UI into 1080p in your Mac display settings. That’s the common and recommended practice. BenQ has a M-Book setting so the users don’t need this step.
i still dont understand why this monitor is $1000 and running at 60Hz. I feel like you can find cheaper with the same resolution and color match for half the price. It's a nice monitor, but I feel like your just paying for the easy integration with the mac. You can just do that one time with a different monitor with a higher refresh rate. I like this monitor, but 60Hz gives me a headache after being on a screen with higher rates.
Thank you! I truly appreciate your review. I have an older 16” MBP Pro with USB-C ports and I would like to buy a photo /video editing monitor that I can use in the future with Macs M chips. How does the BENQ monitor you reviewed compare with this review of another BENQ monitor: ua-cam.com/video/80m5W6wDb48/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared? Thank you!

So no 120hz display to go with pro-motion display? Any alternatives?

Thanks a bunch. I’d love to review that one too.
It’s been a while since I checked BenQ products but this monitor looks great.
It’s a little surprise packet for sure
Compare this with Dell U3223QE, which is better price to performance?
interested in as well... i'm hesitating as well
I'd love to. Might have to hit Dell again for another review
Can the brightness be controlled by the Mac instead of the hockey puck?
With the right keyboard, yes
Is this a back lit monitor? I can’t find any info.
Hi, you used before Dell U3423WE, how it was compared to BENQ PD3225U, and why you go for 32 inch from 34 inch ultra wide ?
I've been using both still on different setups. I like them both still.
Hi - did it come with the Thunderbolt 3 cable that you showed early on in the video
Yep, cable comes included!
What resolution setting do you select in the Mac display settings ? I have the 27” version and at full 4k the text and software icons are small 😢
Yeah I don't have set to the full 4K either, it's more usable and lower resolutions for me too.

May I ask you what lamp that is next left to your desk?
It’s from a local store, Temple and Webster. One of my fave lamps
Praying for Thunderbolt 5 & triple 120hz :0
I hear you! That would be amazing.
nice sharing!!
Thanks!

Is it worth $1000
Well that kinda depends on who's buying. In its segment, I think it is pretty good value
this is a useless commercial not a review
why?
@@playnatethegreatbecause this monitor is awful for mac due to the scaling issues
@@mentos.0can u plz explain more?
