      That’s I have been looking for last few months. Here in Newyork and surrounding states don’t have one in stock.
      Where did you find yours?

    Just got my new 2024 MT-09 midnight cyan and love it. First bike with quick shifter, 6 axis imu, navigation, tft, cruise control. Man its sweet. I do also have 03 sv650 which is fun too but old tech. Crf300l. I did have a Z900 2020 model was a great bike too but i took advantage of the price hikes and no inventory so i sold it after one year

    I'd have bought the MT07, except it doesn't have the electronic rider aids. If I want to practice 'wheelies', lift control is very nice to have. So, I got a 2022 MT-09 SP. Cruise control, Ohlins/KYB suspension. It's my first bike, and I'm 64 years old - for another month.

    Hi, I just picked up a 2022MT09-SP last month.
    I live in YYC. You look like you're also local.
    We should go for a cruise this riding season, just waiting for the street sweepers to do their thing! 😅

    Put a full Yoshimura system on it. They sound great & you don't have to do re-map.

    I've owned 2 mt09 so far and gotta say it's amazing. i had 21 mt 09 storm fluo (totaled due to got hit and run 😭) and now 23 mt09 sp. Everything about this bike is awesome except i don't think you've mentioned lock to lock. Only flaw in my opinion, is lock to lock is really short. Other than that, it's perfect for everything for my need. I've had bar end in my first mt-09 and stock ones are much better imo. If i were go through that route again, maybe i'll get 22+ xsr900 oem bar ends. It doesn't rattle 65+mph (test roded 23xsr900). Ride safe!

    Hi, I own a 2021 mt09 with 6000kms on clock for 12k, absolutely luv it, has plenty of go, so comfortable, has comfort seat, everytime I go out on a ride I always come back with a big smile, it does not disappoint. Thx great review

      No, I sold it a few months back when I bought my house! Been thinking about getting another one.

    One of the things I like about the 2021/22 MT09 is the weight, it's almost the same as an MT07 so you can throw it around so easy for a 900, I went from an MT125 to an MT09 and I have no trouble riding it, I got my licence riding an MT07 as that was pretty much the minimum bike you can use in the UK to get a full licence and almost bought one, but I believe the 09 is safer as it has the modes unlike the 07

    • @FullThrottleFreedomChannel
      @FullThrottleFreedomChannel  2 роки тому

      Completely agree. The MT-09 is quite flickable, and really fun to ride. Practiced lots of low-speed maneuvers on mine with no trouble at all. Tight U-turns, figure 8’s, circles, you name it.
      I’m a little biased, but I think you made a better choice going with the MT-09 over the MT-07. You’re gonna have a blast. Another thing the 09 has going for it is the 6 Axis IMU and the traction control system. The 07 has ABS and that’s about it.

      @@FullThrottleFreedomChannel i gotta say as an owner of both 07 and 09, 07 is way more agile. But mt09 is actual beast. You wont need any more power than what mt09 gives.
      As for safety, mt07 hands down more safe 😂 if you are new rider, mt09 will give no mercy.

    How do you like the windscreen, I'm picking up a 23 MT-09 and was curious on your thoughts?

    • @FullThrottleFreedomChannel
      @FullThrottleFreedomChannel  Рік тому

      It’s a great windscreen for the cost and I like that it’s Yamaha genuine, so it matches the bike! I didn’t like the look at first, but it grew on me.
      If you’re looking for aesthetics, another great option is the Puig New Generation Sport screen in Dark Smoke.

  • @cronjevandermerwe2905

    Hey bro, what screen is that?

    • @FullThrottleFreedomChannel
      @FullThrottleFreedomChannel  8 місяців тому

      It’s the Yamaha Genuine Sport Windscreen. Can be ordered through the parts department at any motorcycle dealership that sells Yamaha.
      I left a link in the description.

    • @FullThrottleFreedomChannel

    Are you able a full U-turn within 2 lanes with your mt09? I saw a review for the 2022 xsr900, it had a poor U-turn radius.

    i wouldnt really worry about warranty issues with japanese bikes, most notably honda or yamaha and suzuki gsxr's.....they are pretty solid machines....i would give it a few months just to see if anything weird happened by chance but after that, bulletproof.....full exhaust are kinda whatever, crazy expensive for just a different sound.......tuning the bike with slip on to get it to run super clean and kill the restrictions seems appropriate, also help the motor to run a lil richer s most come pretty lean......almost bought one of these and probably would have if dealers werent asking 3k over sticker, and i talked to quite a few.......ended up with 22 890 R duke for less than MSRP.....has more than enough power
    a tune and suspension is where i would spend the money....street bikes dont have great suspension in general which kind of surprised me...not even fully adjustable in alot of them.....coming from motocross suspension can make huge difference in handling/comfort of a bike plus more versatility

    • @FullThrottleFreedomChannel
      @FullThrottleFreedomChannel  2 роки тому

      I agree with all of this! Great points. Can’t do a slip on though, because the stock exhaust is one continuous piece from the headers all the way down through the muffler. So the only option is a full system… 🤦🏻‍♂️
      And your suggestion about giving it a few months to make sure nothing weird comes up is basically what I’m planning on doing, but I may also take it in for a quick diagnostic/inspection just for some extra peace of mind.
      And yes, I am also under the school of thought that Japanese bikes are bulletproof, but it just feels wrong to void a 160,000 km (100,000 mile) warranty.

      Also the 890 Duke is a sweet bike! Nice, torquey V-twin engine if my memory serves me right.
