That was an absolutely perfect performance of Aerial Boundaries. I have seen Michael Hedges dozens of times -- not kidding -- dozens of times in concert. I am a guitar player, but can never approach the level of you Mr. Remi; no I can only rub up against that greatness, and play my own version. You delivered! The whole bird. I think that Michael Hedges looks upon you from above and gives a nod, and probably a weird little dance, because that was who he was. He had that strange little dance thing in him. It was perfect.
experiencing my first negative panic attack loop since 10 years ago right now, this shows up on my feed and is the first thing to have been able to calm me down in the past 2 hours. impeccable playing. I can hear michael himself through this, wonderful, it sounds familiar, like home
WOW. I saw Michael play this mind-bending composition several times in concert. It always left me enthralled and mystified. Here we see complete mastery of a style of guitar playing that is IMPOSSIBLE to any but the most multi-dimensionally BRILLIANT players! Maybe .00001% of guitar players on the planet could master this epic tour de force of musical virtuosity. Great sounding guitar too! Mind= BLOWN!
This is so faithful to the original studio album recording that if I didn't know better - that NO ONE would ever dub Michael's album version over a video of their own cover - I would think that... well, you get the idea. Just sayin'. It's that spot-on. Not even Michael himself could produce this sound when playing it live. And although I've heard it many hundreds of times, I've never heard anyone's YT rendition come closer to the original than this. The Hall Reverb, the articulation and rhythmic flow, the string-stopping, even the chucka-chucka of the hammer-ons/pull-offs - it's all there, all right on. Andrew Gorny came the closest to reproducing the sound and just nailed the raw emotional energy of it. Andy McKee...? Thanks for playing our game; we have some fabulous door prizes for you. This, though... it's so close it arouses my suspicious nature - though in truth I DO hear the differences between it and the original.... Just sayin'... I'd love to see an audio engineer superimpose the two waveforms.
I wanted to listen to high quality version of this song and couldn't find it anywhere until now, you just delivered it with the best of your technique, feeling, this great guitar and quality recording. Than you a lot.
I would have to say this IS the best cover version of this iconic song by artist Michael Hedges. Well done. The timing, the articulations of the fretboard and even I presume the electronics involved reverb, and TC electronics..maybe?! Hedges used TC electronics. Bravo you are the only person in my opinion that has done this thee closest to the orginal recording. Kudos to you!.PS Do you know how to play THE MAGIC FRAMER ? Another Hedges orginal composition..?
This is my favorite song of all time. I was 15 years old the first time I heard this and it literally changed my life. You did a fantastic job with this song and captured Michael's spirit with this one. Your tone, use of the hall reverb and overall pace is spot on. Absolutely fantastic!!! If you ever tour the states I would definitely attend a concert. Greetings from Green Bay Wisconsin, USA.
What a great sound, high quality video play, you are the best. It's the best I've ever had. Do your best and aim higher. I'll support you! ! ! The guitar is beautiful too, cool! !
Very precisely played. Reflects just how much finger strength is required to do all the pull offs correctly and with the right sound. There is a certain wildman abandon that can only be played by him....this song busted the limits of the guitar all to hell. Candyrats debt to Michael is incalculable.
The most mind blowing piece ever applied to the instrument........and you did it great justice. Well done, I can't even begin to imagine the time and effort that goes into learning something like that.
Best cover I’ve heard. Pretty amazing you could pull this. I knew Micheal and I’ve listened to this song hundreds of times. I have the cassette. It is one of 4 songs that I have purchased on the net. You are getting there. I want to here you again a year or two.
Thank you for giving my heart a break and making me happy. It is your video that I want to watch over and over again. By chance at the winter window, as the algorithm introduced me, when I opened my UA-cam window, the first video I saw was your video. Why did you have such a wonderful talent that is full of strange charms unique to your video? I was amazed at the excellence of your skills and was moved by your sincerity and hard work while watching the video. This is a video of you that I want to watch over and over even if I walk with my eyes open even if I close my eyes and walk on an empty street that has been swept away by the cold winter wind. I'm looking at your video like a dream. Thank you for comforting my heart because I liked your video as if I was passing through in my dream yesterday. Your video makes my weary heart happy. The countless stars shining in the winter night sky are each beautiful, but I fell in love with your video that shines in my heart and it is the most beautiful.
Bravo dude! Your technique is phenomenal. Recording quality is incredible too - maybe post a video talking about how you record / mic your guitar...uhm..please?! :)
Sounds really cool! I am learning this song right now too - since three months. And it will still take some time till it flows delightly and easily. Where did you learn this song from? Do you have a songbook? And where do you come from? :) Greetings from Austria my friend!
Hi, thanks man! I learned on my own this song this autumn for the school and I really liked to play it. I don’t have a songbook yet. I am a french canadian :)
I just record the sound in studio before the video😂 it is normal to do that. Every famous guitarist on youtube do this to have a better quality video and a better sound. I just made a little mistake but that doesn’t mean it is not real! I always record my cover before the video because I want a better quality😉. The sound you hear in the video is mine.

An incredible timeless masterpiece played by an amazing guitarist , Micheal would be proud .
I knew him and know his music well, and you totally nail it. Well done.
FANTASTIC. MICHAEL WOULD SURE BE PROUD OF THAT! WELLDONE DUDE! 😊
That was absolutely phenomenal!! Easily the best cover of Aerial Boundaries I've ever seen!
Love this cover! I’m curious how you got the sound?
One of my favorite acoustic pieces. UA-cam recommended me your cover. Great job!
Amazing playing and audio quality. It sounds like the album version. Great job!

Wonderful Sound, the Guitar looks like a Beauregard...
I wanted to listen to high quality version of this song and couldn't find it anywhere until now, you just delivered it with the best of your technique, feeling, this great guitar and quality recording. Than you a lot.
Check out the Somerville concert two weeks before he died. The sound is mind blowing!
Wow. This is notably flawless, even Michael himself ruined a few notes on the most popular video with a performance of this.
wow that's an excellent rendition of a very tricky piece, great to see you keeping Hedges music alive :)

Such an amazing composition and dare Isay there are moments where you may even surpass Hedges in execution.
