Is that only at the palm muting parts?
If yes, then I know about that problem, somehow this guitar has such loud, humming low end... and I don't have a very good audio system so it wasn't that bad for me.

Yeah by pitch its equivalent to standard's F, but in my experience the chord names don't change with tuning... So it's still called F#

No, I think (if my memory serves) it's half step down (D#), like many other HF songs. The first chord is F# (244).
Would it be possible for you to send me a tab for your rendition of the solo? I know this is a fairly old video, I don't even know if you're still active, but that solo is, in general, just sexier. Not even kidding. That's the only word I can think of; it just flows so smoothly compared to the original shredding.
