Because in this case, Sridevi had threatened Boney to not see his kids if he wanted to be with her. She could have been a normal woman and rejected his proposal to marry her but she didn't. Instead she fell for him after he started chasing her. But one things for sure- if these 2 didn't marry, there certainly wouldn't have been a Jahnvi or a Khushi.

He obviously loves his dad. You can only hate your loved ones so much. After so many years he must have forgiven him. But probably doesn't want to extend that love towards his step mother for obvious reasons. Like he said in his interview, Sridevi has wished him well publicly but has not personally done anything to show for it. He is simply answering the questions asked and also being pretty honest from what one can see. He is being civil about it and has not gone around spreading rubbish about her. How can anyone expect him to glorify her? FYI I'm by no means an Arjun Kapoor fan. He just seems like a decent human being who is quite open to answer any uncomfortable questions with some dignity.
