It always amazes me how much you can achieve each year Whitney. I love that green skirt on you, it's stylish and fun. The orange/red pants suit you too but the best is your blouse from the Italian fabric, absolutely stunning. Happy Sewing!!
Wow, gals, one of my (admittedly many) favorite TomKat Stitchery videos. I've been sewing for 100 years and I still learn something new during almost every episode. Watching the videos always brings me happiness as it feels like we are all in the same room (and some days I could sure really use it). From a viewer's perspective, I think your dynamic is terrific. Your contributions complement each other nicely. Whitney - hooray for you sharing your passion and knowledge with your friend, and allowing her to have time in the sun. Jenny - so, so fun to see someone get excited about sewing and dive right in. Your makes are terrific and I hope you feel that. I'm a bit of an elitist when it comes to instructional/informational videos as I am an instructional designer for adult learning. Your practice of balancing the why/what/how, plus the pros/cons and considerations/alternate options is both uncommon and so valuable. I truly enjoyed this roundup - it has prompted me to examine my makes for the year in a similar fashion. I appreciate your taking the time include images of you in your makes, or the pattern, or the inspiration. Perhaps you can make them a little larger in the frame for a short time - it's fun to see all the details you're referring to. Wishing you a joyful and prosperous new year. Thank you.
Loved the recap! I also loved that yellow ruffled dress. It looked great on you! My style is kind of like yours (classic) so I was really surprised at how great that turned out and looked on you! Made me want to try a little bit of ruffles in my life!
I always love these videos, thanks ladies! It isn't always easy to work with a good friend, but you've managed to merge your respective skills to provide an awesome, inspiring experience for all of us! Hope you're both enjoying your time off, and I'm looking forward to what comes next in 2025!! 💖❤💖❤
Hi Whitney Hi Jenny! Jenny I made about six or seven things this year also so I'm with you! Whitney, you are a powerhouse! You go girl! I'm glad you do love sewing.❤
Happy New Year TomKat Stitchery! ❤ You two always put a smile on my face and a fire in me to get busy sewing (or shopping for fabrics and patterns) and this episode was no exception. I was surprised at the 99 sewing projects until I remembered who we were talking about (Whitney!) At the end of 2023, I made myself a Sewing Journal for taking notes as I progressed through projects in 2024, as well as the notes I took as I watched each episode of TomKat Stitchery on UA-cam. It has grown into this huge “chunky monkey” of a journal and as I looked back, I found that your favorites were some of mine and I imagine many other viewers too! But, my #1 favorite for 2024, was the Barn Coats each of you made. I finished mine on Dec. 23 after waiting for what seemed like forever for my Hand Press to arrive - I love that thing - and I wore it to a family gathering that evening! Lots of compliments. Thank you for showcasing the Seamwork Parker Chore coat to us on your channel. What a winner! Thank you for a wonderful year. I look forward to TKS 2025! ❤
That was a fantastic re-cap conversation. The tone, mood, interaction, organization of topic-it all flowed so naturally & smoothly. Kudos. It’s hard to pick a favorite make from 2024 bc they are all so good, but I loved the vermillion cords enough to plan a green pair of my own. The surprise make was the dress with the ruffles across the bust. I wouldn’t have said it would work on Whitney, but it looks absolutely amazing on her.
It's a pleasure to watch the two of you! I thought I had a good year making 35 items while still working full-time, enjoying my grandchildren, managing rental properties, spending time with aging parents, great friends and family; 99 items is just wow! I am looking forward to watching you ladies in 2025 😊
I love your Carla lounge pants! I remember you showed them styled with a vest for a shopping trip you went on, and it was so cute that it inspired me to make a similar pair. Although I used a big 4 pattern from my stash to create the look. ❤
Happy New Year’s Eve!🎉 This was a great recap! I liked the Cashmerette dress with the ruffles that Whitney made this year. It was so beautiful on her! Jenni, the light colored jacket you made just stunned! I am excited for what you both do next year.🎊
I laughed at the last question. Yes I just shake my head at some of the things Whitney says she is planning. When I see it made it is always, that is actually cute. My garment sewing this year was totally dismal. I also quilt and made quite a few really nice quilts and a variety of small bags, ornaments and such. I did cut out a fleece hat a couple of weeks ago and it is on sewing table and I want to wear it as a winter hat so I am motivated. I do hope to do some garment sewing this coming year.
Congratulations on a great 2024 Whitney and Jenni! I appreciate all the knowledge, humor and creativity you share. Here's to an awesome and fun 2025. 😊
Great video team TomKat! I love the Karla lounge wear on you so much that I bought the pattern in October. I just need fabric but can’t decide if I want jersey or French terry. And…I bought the Pattern Scout dress pattern because I loved your dress so much and the coco bias skirt pattern. For the bias skirt I bought a copper color fabric because I want to wear the skirt multiple ways including with fleece lined tights (looks like skin), spring and summer with sandals and fall/winter with heels and boots. Plus-with a T-shirt and denim jacket.
I love you guys! I want to come work with you!! You always have so much fun! Love your videos! Can’t wait to see what 2025 brings! Happy Nee Year!!😊🎉😂😊
You guys mean so much to me. Thank you for another great year of friendship, learning and inspiration. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for you in 2025. 🎉
Loved the video. I'm going to try a few bags this year. Also, I'm determined to try silk charmeuse. Scared of it! If that beautiful blouse was challenging for you, what does that mean for me? Lol! Looking forward to the new year with you ladies.
Whitney. Get sewing today and make the count an even 100.

That was such a good tip for the baby hem on the bias cut skirt. I shall use that always in future! Such a time saver - thanks. Diana
I enjoy your channel so much! Looking forward to 2025!

All the makes are fabulous but what I really enjoy is seeing the two of you, oh, and Gidget's sweater! Congrats to you, Jenni, on your 6 makes!

Loved the recap and all the fantastic garments made. I’m hoping I can get some more things made this year also.

Question? Do women wear scarves anymore, how???
