Thank you for more great cards. I would love to see more difficult cards , I love the way you go into detail of showing how to decorate the cards. Thank you see you next time 🐞🇦🇺
Love all your videos. I would definitely watch all videos with the suggested ideas. More advanced techniques are always great to see to learn even for beginners like me. There is always something to learn.
Thank you Darling - I just don't want to overwhelm anyone. This channel is really for everyone I hope!! And I am continuing to learn right along with everyone else. Are you USA? I like to have beginners identy themselves to me in a PM on the facebook page if you are.
Hi Xv Xv - And Welcome to My Channel! I think card sketches can be very helpful to newbie stampers! I remember when I started making cards it was so challenging to come up with layouts that didn't look like paper barf! LOL it took a while believer me! Enjoy your journey and come over to the Facebook page and identify yourself to me through a PM as a new stamper.
Hi Julia. What great cards. What a nice idea having the pre made packets ready for you to assemble. I love seeing and learning new things ... and of course scrap usage tips are always appreciated. Thanks so much. 😊🇨🇦
I love card sketches! Since I am not that creative, they really help me a lot. I like how you use every piece of the paper, even the part that has the hole in it. Just put something over it! Now, why didn't I think of doing that? LOL!😕
Beautiful cards, as always! I'm happy to watch any type of video you want to do. Some other sizes would be interesting, as everyone seems to stick to the A2 size. It would probably use up more of the way too much paper we all have laying around (you know we do!). I don't have a Scan n Cut machine, but I'm very curious about it, so would be more than happy to watch videos showing how to put that to use as well. From what I have seen on it, I feel like it's a great way to go. Thank you for all you do.
Hi Maggie and Thank you!! I have found over the years that the more card sizes you are comfortable with and have bases at hand, the easier it is to use scraps. So you are totally correct!! There are already several videos on the channel using scan n cut for you to look at if you are interested. I think my favorites are the easel weld cards I made 3-4 weeks ago and the tripple layered ephemera. I am planning to do 1 snc video a month, because there does seem to be some interest.
Lovely to watch you again and I hope you are recovering well. I would love to see you make cards that you want to make using your art thoughts, any techniques would interest me as you are a great teacher xx
Hi Julia, I love watching your videos, and I really do enjoy the content. Also, I noticed that you have reached over 2000 subscribers... How exciting is that! Your Valentine's Day cards are beautiful as always, and you continue to inspire in using up all your scraps, and what you have already in your stash. Julia, I hear what you are saying about mass production cards and the pressure of making the numbers where it is so much easier to layer coloured cardstock and sentiments than using stamps where that requires a lot more work especially with heat embossing and colouring. I must say that I have been neglecting my stamps also. I would love to see some more artistic content, and I am looking forward to what you come up with. I find depending on my project determines the size of the card and depending on the size I may have to make the envelope. Now Julia, this will make you laugh... I have got a scan and cut!!!! I scan with my eyes and cut with my fine tip scissors... LOL! 🤣🤣🤣 God's blessings, love and hugs, Gloria 🤗☕🍰💐💕
Hi Gloria - Yay My little Channel is still growing, like the little train that could! Chug, chug, chug... Making envelopes is also a good way to use up some of the paper you used in making the card too. And of course you struck my funny bone. I will probably be repeating that...LOL!!! Much love as always my friend! Julia
LOVELY Valentine cards!!! Great use of the branding strips!!! LOVE how you decorate the insides!!! Glad to hear I'm not the only one that when they move something doesn't remember where it was moved to! LOVE your ideas for new content!!! I don't have any electronic tools (Cricut, Silhouette, etc), but have seriously considered purchasing the Scan-n-Cut. Congrats again on reaching 2000 subscribers!!!
Hi Kathleen - Glad to hear from you. I think the inside is just as important as the front. It just carries the front through the sentiment doesn't it. And, I'm really looking forward to this year!!
Thanks Nancy - I have a lot of 5 x 7 card bases, and I never reach for them so they will be a great size for me to stretch into also. I appreciate your comment and Welcome to My Channel.
I love your ideas for this year. I think it would be fun to watch (and try) some more advanced techniques for making backgrounds and then turning them into cards. Although I mainly do just A2 size cards because I mail most of mine and postage is getting beyond ridiculous, I think it could be fun to adapt the OWH sketches to other sizes for hand delivered cards. So yeah, you’re stuck with me being a subscriber because I love your ideas and love seeing your cards. Now about all those stamps you don’t use very often…what’s the plan? 🙂 Your valentines turned out great and your nail polish is really pretty!
Hello My Friend - You are so sweet to me!! And I am delighted to be stuck with you!! I think if you watch the height/weight, and avoid square formats you can still post larger size cards for the base postage. I will check at the post office tomorrow to be sure. I treated myself to a real manicure after my last surgeon visit. Trying to do better...LOL
Hi Gail and Welcome to My Channel! I am glad you found me and wanted to let you know there is a lot of great content already recorded on the channel that you can back watch as you have time/desire. We are in the process of a major move and have had a death in the family. So my recording of new videos is on a bit of a hiatus. But I will be back as soon as I can and look forward to future content together! Take care and happy crafting!
I am a bit late to the game having recently found your channel, although I have been catching up by watching several of your older videos a day. There is so much knowledge and tips it is worth watching the older videos. I vote for A2 cards and Barely Arts Glue in a small needle tipped bottle, which works equally well for cards, ephemera, and journal creation.
Thanks Morgaine - I have struggled a bit with Barely Arts Glue being runnier than I am used to. So, I have been hesitating to reach for it too often. But I have a supply of it and will try again. I know it's operator issue, because so many crafters love it!! LOL
@@SeniorSusieStamps I started my journey with Barely Arts because at the time (LOL not anymore) it was less expensive and didn’t have cold weather shipping issues like Art Glitter glue seems to have. I have used both and really don’t see a lot of difference. I like tape runners and double sided tape equally well but for different projects. There is lots to experience as a new crafter. Thanks again for doing and sharing what you do.
Hello Julia. Lovely cards again as usual. I have tried the Nuvo and the Cosmic shimmer glues they are both pretty good and comparable to the Art Glitter glue. I love AGG but it needs a bit of clearing from the fine tips which can be annoying. They were unable to supply my Scan n cut and I am so very disappointed but will buy one sometime once I see another good deal. I just bought an electric die cutter for now as it will help me no end with having arthritis. I do have quite a lot of dies.
Oh Kaye - I am so sorry about your scan n cut. I know you were really looking forward to getting it!! I switched to an electric die cutting machine several years ago because of arthritis. Plates can warp more easily so be sure and flip them upside down often.
I am new to card making and always up for a challenge!! I have a scan n cut and would love to see any info you share. I’ve had mine a year and used it once. 😮
Oh Gigi there is a wonderful scan n cut series going on monthly find it here - www.youtube.com/@HighlightCrafts/search?query=scan%20n%20cut Find your machine CM or SDX and go start at the beginning. Hi Elizabeth! You are so very welcome. And thanks so much for the Hugs - I need them right now!!
I love watching you "work". When I make stuff it is PLAY. Your cards always turn out so pretty.
Thank you Sybil!
I absolutely love the card dimensions and the layouts, as a new card maker it has helped me tremendously

Sometimes you just have to fiddle around with the bits and pieces don't you?!
All your suggestions sound interesting to me, more power to you my friend.

I do the same thing. I bulk make cards for Bring Smiles to Seniors and never stamp on them. I make way to many to sit and color all those images.
Good for you CurleeQ!! Our seniors really appreciate handmade!
I’d like the a2size since I donate at least 300 cards per month and the organizations request (prefer) that size.
That is amazing! And such a worthy endeavor - I bet that uses up a lot of paper too!! Welcome to my channel!!

How do I get the dimension of your cards
Hi Pat - Here is a link to the card sketches I use, they come from OWH. I printed them off and keep them in a notebook in sheet protectors. sandyallnock.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/OWH-Sketches-1-259-bonus.pdf
I can get there but doesn’t give me the option to print them. I started about a year ago making cards. I’m 65 now
@@patevans5149 In the upper right corner, mine has a little printer icon right next to the 3 dots.
Well not seeing the 3 dots. I’ll see if I can figure it out. Thank you so much for helping me.

Yes to your ideas for this year, but no interest in the scan and cut. Don't have this machine and do not plan to ever own one. 😏
