"Polka" premiered at the Manhattan Center Grand Ballroom in 1992 and became the keystone and final movement of Mark Morris' work, "Grand Duo"-a modern work with Eastern European folk dance influences. I saw this piece in concert with the MMDG, and when it was over I just wanted them to start all over again from the top. It is just fantastic.

I just saw this performed last night at the Mark Morris Dance Center in Brooklyn. It was totally amazing. Interesting to see some differences in this rendention. Just great.

Thanks for uploading! Along with the rest of Grand Duo, probably my favorite Mark Morris work. In his company, of course, both sexes would be dancing, but otherwise it looks pretty good!

Sure, it looks nice, but every single one of these dancers is just a cgi construct. Still impressive though. The things they can do with technology these days!
