@@gregorurban3222 Surely yes. The commenter that I replied to said that Rage over a Lost Penny was his last piano composition. It has the highest opus number (Op 129) but was written in the mid to late 1790s.
Just found this recording by chance. Love this guy's playing. Never been a big Beethoven fan (much prefer Schubert, Mendelssohn, Schumann, and Brahms when it comes to German Romantic composers), but this music is exceptional!!
@@hjo4104 I hate to interrupt, but I can't always refrain - Beethoven composes far beyond the bounds of ‘romanticism’, which is an unfair coinage. To me romanticism composers except for Schubert and Chopin just threw too much pointless effort into setting up a system to reconstruct a Beethoven. I never find their work convincing. 20th century composers did their own things and turned out much more interesting.
Beautiful very deep music well played but sometimes too staccato and sometimes too much pedal. Also on UA-cam played by Sviatoslav Richter, unparalleled!
The classical greats were sooooo far ahead of their time, and it is literally surreal what they composed. Enjoy every moment.

An absolute world class performance....
Little cameo jewels played with respect and admiration for the composer
right after the famous op.125, this is always a close second in my heart
Wonderfull performance of these delightful compositions.
he loves this piece, particularly the b minor presto. he occupies it here deeply.
All different sides are Beethoven’s Charakter and Moods are represented und this 6 short Bagatelles. These are Beethoven in a Nutshell.

Très intéressant, style inhabituel pour moi. J'aime la manière dont il tire le presto vers le jazz...
Lovely!
The no. 3 Andante breathes the same rarefied air as his Sonatas nos. 30-32
8:35 the cheekiest little motif I've ever heard
Thanks !
I believe these are Beethoven's last piano pieces. And though miniatures are very much in his profound late style.
Ophir Horovitz nope that was written ~1795
@@benrubin8624 No, surely not!

Presto was a bit fast. I prefer Gould's performance but still very nicely done.
I love Gould but I found his performance of this cycle... eccentric. Extremely slow tempi and very detached. I'll take this any day.
bruh, amazing
it´s like a Picture painted by notes musicales

When it comes to Romantic composers, I also prefer those listed, because LvB is too rigid in comparison, still pretty much classical

@@satosmi9408 I agree pretty much 👍
Very interesting Video and nice speed. But what a mistake at 3:07. And it was not the last one
Outside the concert hall there were clouds in the sky, birds were singing and the wind was blowing gently in the trees. It was very disturbing.
i cant hear one - what is it? i noted the other one...
@@militaryandemergencyservic3286 He does repeat it correctly at 3:31. You can compare but need to listen carefully
@@andyh8475 what are the notes he does or does not play correctly please e flat instead of a e natural in LH? what is it?
Looking at the score and he did not make a mistake here...
