In all fairness Rich, I probably won’t use the polarisers as Variable NDs, Im happy with the 3,6,10 and 18 now, could be a little bonus for video though, I shall have a play and see if they are any good 😃👍
Sebastian, another great video. My canon 14/35 is 77 thread size but you got the 82, and I think your lens is 77. So how does it fit? . I have the Lee system and it is a bit of a pain. 👍
Hi ya William, yep, that’s the lens I use and it works a treat, like you said, I use a magnetic step up ring from the 77 to 82 and it’s great, all my filters are 82 and all my lenses have step up rings to 82. If you look closely in my videos, the magnetic lens cap stays on a treat. Any questions or anything you would like to see about the filters, fire them over mate. 😃👍
@@williammacbeth5093 ha ha, I know exactly what you mean mate, it had me thinking when I ordered. Yea, all my filters are 82mm and my thread on my lens is 77mm so I buy a magnetic step up ring from 77mm upto the filter size of 82mm, hope that makes sense
Magnetic filters are the way forward. Quick and easy to use. Also being colour coded makes them easier to find in the pouch that most of the combi packs come with or if you stack them together. Great video by the way mate, very informative.
Excellent long term over view, now looking at getting these. How much did you end up paying for postage, import duty and taxes? From my experience these charges can quickly push up the prices of items, especially when the delivery company slap extra charges on.
@@titianobsidian6549 cheers for watching, they are great filters, so happy with mine, I went for the cheapest postage and luckily didn’t get hit with any import duty, result
Love the look of these - got 3 sets of filters myself but really am thinking of getting rid of them and getting these awesome review buddy and guess what the sun has been out all day today !
Great video. I also just purchased these and used them in the Pacific NW in the US. CPL was so easy to switch between two cameras/lenses with a ring on each lens. Get rings for your lenses and one set of filters. Thanks.
Cheers Ivor, my banging my gums about these filters did the trick🤣 chuffed to bits to get the Affiliation especially as it’s a product I really like 😃👍
You don't happen to know when the latest filters will be available at the Maven store. Looks as if the kick starter has closed. They look perfect for my vingrete issues U have when I stack to 10 stops on my current filters with Polarizer on or even at 5 stops depending on my focal length.
Morning Michael, I don’t know a definite date but I read somewhere ( I can’t find it now) that they will be coming to non kickstarts in the coming months and will be available on the website, leave it with me, when I find out I will add it to this chat 😃👍
So I have two Nikon Z lenses 77mm and 82 mm thread. I guess in order to prevent vignetting if I stack two or more filters, I should go for wider filter size which would be 95mm. So how do I order that as their website seems very slow and not clear enough to understand if I get 95mm filter do I still need to get 72-95 and 82-95 step-up rings or what exactly come inside 95mm kit apart from 3 ND filters.

Ah cheers Terry, much appreciated, have a great weekend mate 👍😃
I'm going to be interested in how you get on with variable Nd as I'm sure I read somewhere about negative things about using variable nds

Do you use third party step up rings and attach the Maven Ring to those? Thank you.
Hi ya Wendy, I’ve never tried third party step up rings, only ever used MAVEN originals, cheers 👍😃

re the variable ND hack, is there any colouring issues or appearance of the X when excessive light reduction which is common in variable ND filters?
Hi ya Charles, leave that one with me and I will have a play tomorrow, I never use the 2 as a Variable, as I mainly shoot stills I just change NDs 😃👍
@@SebastianBevanPhotography FYI did contact Maven and they advised that the ND range is 1.5-5
