It's absolutely adorable seeing how Alex used to be so shy when it was just him and a mic. Compared to his more recent performances of this song especially, it's amazing what a decade will do to you XD

He plays drums in The Dead Weather with Jack Lawrence (the Raconteurs, Greenhornes), Dean Ferita ( QOTSA) and Alison Mosshart (the Kills). They're really good. Drums were his first instrument, actually. There's a documentary called "It Might Get Loud" you should watch.

@jamiroquaisfakengay yes , it is ^^ you , as a musician (i have that conclusion after watching your channel) should know this ^^ a lot of metal bands are way better than this,even drumtechnical,guitartechnical,VOCALtechnical (cause the vocals of arctic monkeys are most often really not vocals) but not just technical,even emotional and attitude,relationship to the crowd , and the show. you should recognize this , even as a total arctic monkeys fan ^^ good day , piece
A friend asked me to check this song out because of the "awesome" drumming. Lets just say, that I'm disappointed. When this Matt Helders guy can a play Symphony X song, I'll give him some respect.
To each their own though, I just prefer the technical and creative side of drumming in music.
