Selamat isn't Hello in Malay.. we just say Hi ("Hai" if spelt in Malay).. 🤣
I love how you see the exact moment in 9:35 when they decided this was a competition 😂 Ollie's like "it's ON" and josh is like "why? You're an idiot" but competes anyway 😂😂
3:34 it’s amazing how correct he pronounced that
Sepi was formerly from The Smart Local! That's why she knows the slang terms ;) Thanks for spreading our culture to the Jolly fam!
Bowl of Tofubyul your memory = amazing and I hope I did ok lol! I sometimes do get muddled up as some words have mixed meanings depending on context but I love learning about all the terms it’s so fascinating to me! 💖💖
That duck instant noodles is legit. I always buy a lot, everytime I go to Malaysia👌🏼
Josh laughing at Selamat meaning safe, when annyeong literally means the same thing >.>
Oh noo yall didn't put the mamee seasoning! They're in separate sachets in the big bag :")
마지막 뭐얔ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 귀여웤ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
somebody please send some more! there are still many legendary Malaysian snacks they ought to try.
salamat is derived from the word salam in arabic which is used as a greeting and means peace and saleem means safe
진짜 이들의 인스턴트 누들 사랑이란 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
I honestly miss jolly and Korean Englishman’s videos... r they returning?
kinda hard for Josh to return.
can read about it in reddit
7:02 that’s pretty “shiok” fam, that’s bare “shiok” blud 😂😂😂
I love watching foreign people pronounce Malay names with their accents. It's honestly entertaining.
Saw an unknown brand:
"Alright fellas, hold my fookin loops."
*rolls sleeves*
Imabouttotakethisintomyownhandsbish
the battle in the end is literally me and my sister like 10 years ago
" _Selamat_ I'm Josh "
It's literally means "Congrats I'm Josh" 😅
But I got u 🇲🇨
Congrats is "tahniah", not "selamat".
YOU SHOULD TAKE A SIP OF THE MAMEE CHEF TOMYAM, IT TASTES GREATTTT 😩
Uhmm I think they had mistaken Malay and Tagalog tho for the word Selamat/Salamat. Salamat is both a greeting and for the word safe in Tagalog and it just means Safe in Malay and were never a greeting 😂
Well actually selamat is also use in greetings. can i ask where are u from? bcos Malaysian really use selamat in greeting like SELAMAT PAGI = Good Morning , Selamat Petang =Good Evening and etc..
@@ainaimanina6487 well actually I am a Malaysian. Malay to be exact. Yeah that's true, but not "Selamat" on its own ya know? You have to put other words like you mentioned in order for it to have that meaning.
Uh no...Salamat just means thank you in Tagalog.
@@CurryRyce oh really?! I thought when I watched pinoy movies sometimes they used "salamat" for it. I remembered a scene where the heroin wanted to relief herself that she urgently rush to the toilet, and after she's done, she used the word "salamat" because she safely gets to the toilet on time. So it's wrong?
@@MissikaVampfreak Salamat in Tagalog simply means thank you, but sometimes we said that word like saying "Thank Goodness!" or in Tagalog term "Hay Salamat". So aside from it being a thank you greeting it is also a way to say that in a manner that says "being in relief/relieved by something". Hope it clears up the misunderstanding hehehe 😅
I just stumbled upon this video but i honestly love their honesty about the food they eat, how they taste the textures etc, you've definitely earned yourselves a new subscription!!
THIS IS SUCH AN AMAZING VIDEO!!! TOMORROW IS OUR INDEPENDENCE DAY AND JOLLY POSTED THIS AHHHHH
I had a bad day, and watching you guys enjoying food lift up my mood 😊
Josh talks about Ollie's mouthful when he normally hogs the ramyun hahaha, the irony...I love it.
I JUST LOSE IT AT "KEH-SIL" 🤣🤣 It's actually pronounced as 크 - 질, Josh 😂
Jolly being crackheads in the end lmao. Thanks for the Merdeka wish guys, and for the wonderful video on Malaysian snacks!
Selamat Hari Merdeka fellow Malaysians!
The way the eat the noodles, make me craving for maggie right now (Maggie=instant noodle in Malaysia) .
syahirah aishah it’s Maggi not Maggie. Maggie is someone’s name...
Kels 5562 haha my bad. This auto correction sure made it worse
The mamee Monster seasoning is in the big bag! Not in the individual packs 😖
Butter & toast THATS WHAT I WAS SAYING
I always called my mom “Mamee Monster” as a kid coz she’s a monster when she’s mad. 😂
