First time I've seen a Wilga 2000. I've never been a huge fan of the Wilga's looks, but I think I prefer the radial for looks. And then with Draco--there's no comparison. Draco is exquisite!
The ones with the flat engines had about 220/225hp. I believe the very last ones had 300hp, which must have been interesting! In this case it looks like the pilot was being somewhat conservative - was this a test flight perhaps?
Definitely takes longer to get off the ground than the radial engine Wilga, probably down on horsepower quite a bit over the radial engine which between 360 and 400
Yes ! The~ "Wilga"~ (the polish female name of the bird) it was a plane fully constructed and manufactured by polish aero-engineers I believe in 60's & 70's, that means during the communism regime time in Poland. ~"Wilga"~ plane, received a popular name as "Aero-Taxi", because of its capacity for carrying the pilot + three passengers, and also especially for the short distances of pretty short take-off and also landing (STOL). Polish Air Force was using a number of ~"Wilga"~ for military purpose. > I believe, but I am not 100% sure, that even up for today ~"Wilga"~ is still in production in Poland (PZL Okecie-Warszawa), or under the licence in Indonezia, but as a much modernized version of it rather that PZL [104-35]. |||| Fly !! ...~ Wilga ~.... Fly !!
It’s a beautiful plane, but after seeing Draco it’s really hard to be impressed. He’s making a new one that will put Draco to shame, so you better get to work!
With the new more powerful flat engine (not star engine) new ~"Wilga"~ has been lost a bit of its fantastic STOL characteristics, but it is still a wonderful fully Polish designed plane, originated in construction back to 1962, during the communist regime era in Poland. Unfortunately, they stopped its production in PZL "Okecie-Warszawa". Maybe in Indonezia, they are still producing ~"Wilga"~ under the Polish Licence.
If you want to see what this plane could be you have to see what Mike Patey did to his Wilga 2000 (skip to 7m 13s of the video!): ua-cam.com/video/SZTVw-XoKxc/v-deo.html
Lecialem PZL Wilga, start w Jasince i lot nad Rzeszowem, Super sie leci tym samolotem

Just as no one pay attention to pickup truck until some give it 6" lift and 35" tires..
DRACO was a Wilga 2000 before modifications.
Draco's my favorite plane
Wiga is a wilga with that radial engine! Just the sound of that radial engine is spectacular!!!!!!!
Piękny polski samolot.
This model so cool. Love it 👍
This has to be the best looking Wilga flying today!
Since... You know, since Draco crashed...
Second landing much better than first one.
Love it, its my favorite plane
If form follows function then this IS a beautiful aircraft!
Great looking aircraft 👍💯
How much horsepower and torque is this motor putting out?
Hi,
where find book and and documents for specifications of this plane ? ( Pzl 104M Wilga 2000)
this is the second nicest wilga ive ever seen mike pateys being the nicest

Sounds like a 6 cylinder. And i think i am correct.

BEAUTY
Like a Pelican - ugly but ENTIRELY FUNCTIONAL..... Love it!!!!
Is that a prototype or this is how new Wilga looks like?
Now that's a beautiful Airplane.Only in Poland..
Doese this wilga have more power and torque than the older wilga?
Pozdrowienia, Jasiu o Jarka...
The radials are just cooler.
Do they make a radial conversion for this? ;p
You can buy orginal Wilga with radial engine without any problem
I want one!

Are conversion engine kits available for the early aircraft
Don't do it! The radials are the coolest thing ever
Ładna ta Wilga. Szkoda, że zaniechano jej dalszej produkcji i rozwoju. A na dodatek złomowano oprzyrządowanie produkcyjne.
Looks nice but take-off is longer with new engine

I thought the Wilga was capable of shorter take-offs and landings than that.
“Capable” doesn't mean the pilot has to use the capability. Does every driver always use full speed, acceleration or braking abilities of his car?
2:54 That black bird came in to check her out :P
its almost as beautiful as my wife.
My wife more prettier than yours
Aww she lost so much on her Character without this Radial.
A PT6 really gives it back and more.
PZL104 Wilga 34 A jest ładniejsza.
2:55 Bird investigates.
STOL....where's the short take off?...extremely gutless.
tylko skąd wziąć na to pieniądze ....
STOL ?

draco's other country cousin ???
draco is modificated wilga.
wilga 2000 to już nie wilga:/
Turn it to draco 2
The airplane probably is but maybe the pilot isn't.
i would trade my duke for one.
We had a girl at school looked like that

This is what happens when you Westernize an airplane
For a Wilma to take that long to leave the ground reckon he had 20 illegal immigrants in the back!
I hate its legs
Nice plane but bad pilot
