Found out 6 days ago that my 13 yr old son has type 1. I’ve spent the last 3 days watching almost all of your videos. I want to say THANK YOU!! They are so informative and helpful. I have subscribed and will continue to watch for new videos!!
@@lightfriendoyt4959 praying for you and your family! It’s a lot to take in but it’s definitely manageable and doesn’t have to change your life completely. Wishing you well!
Your smile and enthusiasm is infectious! I'm not a diabetic myself but I just wanted to say I loved you as Jenna Bragg in the final season of Homeland! You really pull off the serious look and you should do more action based TV shows 🙂
Ah ha, your secret is out!! You ARE a fabulous spokesperson here on UA-cam and often I have thought you would make for a great speaker, or acting, or modeling, and/or whatever your heart desires!! Homeland must have been a blast (no pun intended, oops 🙊) and working with Claire Danes I hope was a real treat. My boyfriend and I binged watch it and just loved all of the characters. Kudos to you for ALL that you manage to do. Diabetes is NOT holding you back and it really is such a joy to see as it gives us all so much hope!! You and your stories are perfect. Please keep them coming as you have so many of us who love you!! 🥰
Thankyou yet again Andrea. Despite my 47 years as a Type 1, I always take something new and get a morale boost from your videos. I will follow your suggestions regarding donations. I wish you, David and your family a joyful, peaceful Christmas and safe, healthy year in 2021.
Type One Talks, so please do share with all of us . . . What is your video channel. I can see if it comes up as just that, Type One Talks. We do need each other and I learn so much more here than I do from any other places. So I look forward to finding your channel. All in good time. Wishing you all the best of health in the new year!!
Andrea, again more kudos to you. You look so beautiful in this video - sparkling with joy in such a lovely setting. Thanks for all that you do as you continue to share your insights and generosity with all of us. You are a bright star 🌟 that shines the best of light with your wisdom and ability to share it with us in such a pleasant manner!! As always, sending ☮️ n ❤️ from sunny 🌞 Arizona as I wish you a year of great health and continued happiness!
Thanks Andrea. Hope you and your family have a healthy and happy Christmas and New year. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in what has been a dreadful year.
Great video, thankyou again Andrea, you always encourage us, with type 1 with your bright cheerie videos. Have a wonderful Christmas with your family, God Bless, Rex and Sharron 🎄🌟 ❤
What a great video! I’ve dropped my share of insulin vials, it was a hassle to get them replaced by my insurance. My doctor had to call them himself on my behalf. I was looking for a new purse/bag for holding my supplies, this one is nice and compact 😊
Thank you!! Gosh I'm so sorry to hear about your dropping of the insulin vials - I totally am right there with you! Hopefully you're able to get yourself (or get gifted!) so nice items for your needs!! Big joy to you my diabuddy! :)
@@ShesDiabetic thank you! It must be some kind of irony, I dropped my precious Apidra the other day and it didn’t break. Have a wonderful holiday diabuddy ❤️
Thank you again for the video with a bit of luck I might get some of the snack bars you mention! I'm not very good on the ingredients on the ones I get but if you would like to help me on this would be once! I get Trek ones and Wild Tails they seem good with me but like you mention I don't know the nasty stuff to look out for! I think they will be as I feel ok with them and my levels do too! I need a little more carbs when cycling too but teh Nu Go will be better when not exercising and also better to have lots of Protein after you finish cycling. But never tried the ones you mention so like everything at Christmas should be a Treat which these will be for me too! Might go for 3 create fulls :-) Thank you for the codes! The bottle holder is also a great one too thank you for that tip even though I'm not using bottles I might be again if I can get on a pump to fill up :-) I like the donations too mine I do for The Diabetes.UK but also JDRF are on the same wavelengths so Its hard to choose :-) Old supplies is also a great thing to help where we all can thank you for the links and your time!
I hear you on the protein bars - as long as they work for your blood sugars and they don't upset you digestive system - I say it's all gravy! I'm just particular about artificial ingredients, but it's a very personal choice, of course! And I agree - Diabetes UK is a fabulous charity!! There are so many - we're lucky to have so many awesome charities representing our cause, eh!! Happy shopping and hopefully treat receiving to you my friend!!! With joy, always! :)
@@ShesDiabetic I'm the same not wanting artificial if I can very hard I think to avoid it all of the time but for treats, we like to keep eating I think also it's best I have also noticed better levels with Vegan foods not sure if it's me or the food but it's good :-) have a nice Christmas which I understand will be hard and thank you for the video again! Yes, lots of charities are great but also yours help too! :-)
Wow, an upload on a Saturday; u usually upload on Sundays lol I’m not diabetic but recently have gotten myself a glucometer; just being extra proactive. I’m not new to having a finger prick; cuz I donate plasma twice a week. I’ve been donate plasma since July ’18

Oh I'm so sorry to hear of your recent diagnosis my friend! But also very glad that you've found me here! I'm type 2 and just started watching your channel this year. I love what you share with everyone, with all your tips and your daily life as a T1D. Just recently I bought the Jay Diabetes Sling from Myabetic and love it! Here's a product I found to keep your insulin pens temperature controlled, it's called the Vivi Cap, www.tempramed.com/ Thanks for the hint on donating unused insulin, have about 8 boxes that I'm no longer using, so I'll be shipping that out!!
Hello Andrea, Very cool gift ideas... And it's good to see you again. Hopefully medical technology will come up with more useful insulins in the near future. The possibility of hypoglycemia always worries me. Thanks for the video and ideas. Farewell, blue circle warrior...
You are so welcome! And I agree - hoping for more useful everything in the future! Hypoglycemia is the scary one for sure - I'm with you on that! Sending you joy and strength my friend, always!!
I hear you LEGO - but agree we must stay positive! You never know - it could happen sooner than we think. For now I'm grateful for this awesome community, which - hey - we'd never have if we didn't have diabetes so there are some silver linings! Joy to you my friend!

The best Gift would be a cure for Diabetes but unfortunately it will never exist
Never say never. I think, you should be more open to possibilities.
They have cured diabetes in mice, so it could be for humans sooner than we think😊

@@CuteCrafting101 I really hope so
@@ShesDiabetic Well, it is easy to be cured. All we have to do is to transform into mice. They get cured all the time! 😛
The mint bars have sunflower oil. Inflammatory oil....one of the worst oils to use.
Mybetic bags looks cheap plastic and tacky.
All protein bars contains high sugar and hidden sugars
I understand it's not to everyone's taste! I personally really like the protein bars, but really understand your point of view.
