The Infested Chopper activated my fight or flight response.
HOLY HOLY!!! I can proudly say that I have the two HOTTEST women on this planet as MY GIRLFRIENDS! I am the unprettiest UA-camr ever, but they love me for what's inside! Thanks for listening ult
@@AxxLAfriku yo holy shit fuck off bro
DMC 2 war flashbacks
@@AxxLAfriku yeah sure. Now fuck off.
Atleast the song is cool.
Shame that it's still Infested Chopper
I assumed that NmH was basically Suda51’s Kill Bill
I mean, it kind of is.
Half of my brain be like: Santa Destroy represents the struggle of small businesses in California.
The other half: Laser sword go woosh woosh!
Funny you should mention that because people always said that the world in 1 was empty and I was like "No, I've been here before. They fuckin nailed it."
"I don't know about laying the pipe." -Matt McMuscles 2020
Dr. Naomi doesn't have enough... *ahem* good literature out there on the internet
This is still true to this day and it makes me angry
Man the "promise" of the 50 bosses only to wipe out 25 in one go annoyed younger me like hell lmao
Looking back tho, as you said, we should have seen it bc Suda but also just because I don't think think the game on the Wii would have handled it without it clunking.
It would be such a sick fight. Like there would be so many ways to conquer it. Do you try fighting? Do you just lame it out and hide somewhere until there are about 4 people left? Idk, I think it would just be sick
Honestly it doesn’t really bug me because when you really get down to it, the bosses in two already aren’t exactly winners most of the time. 50 bosses means 50 unique fleshed out fights that need time to develop. Quality over quantity, id rather have a few good fights than 50 forgettable fights.
Downward f*cking DOG!!! I love how quotable this game is.
My favourite is the "Some people f*ck at funerals, I cut off heads" line
There's not a lot going on in Santa Destroy when everyone's getting all hyped up about the whether."
That's so Canadian. It's on the Mexican border. If it snowed there people would think the world was ending.
4:45 Hey look, it's Cloud Strife.
Yup! Funny enough, the brother being avenged is meant to look like Sephiroth.
@@rayminishi689 honestly I never put the Helter Skelter = Sephiroth together. I figured he was supposed to look like a stereotypical anime cool dude like Dante or Raiden (lmao) with straight silver hair and cool one liners.
I do appreciate how the first boss in 2 is a Great Value Cloud though
28:47 "Alright Dr. Sweater-Cows, I have the fuckin'... money." Just how deadpan that delivery was had me laughing more than I should have XD
That title screen threw me off so hard.
Travis has a very business-like walk when he's in his apartmemt
Thank you, Matt. Now I'm gonna save for a Switch to play these games
NMH 2: Desperate Struggle is what solidified my interest in the series.
On the issue of the map and open world. What I'd like to see from NMH3 is improved open world to explore, BUT with NMH2 style map for fast travel
12:20 I never noticed that Travis erased Jeane's picture in the second game
Well, I guess I'll finally play NMH1 and 2 now
Pretty much picked up every version of these games and I wouldn't have known about them had it not been for your recommendation all those years ago. Now it's easily my favourite Nintendo franchise.. As soon as I'm not poor, I'll look at picking up both remasters!
My feelings toward NMH2 are far more complicated than feelings toward a video game ought to be.
Right!?!?
The narrator is also ben 10's grandfather
whats better, he plays colonel campbell in metal gear, with robin atkin downes (travis) playing Miller in MGSV
I loved the card collecting from the 1st game. Specifically all the design cards from the 2nd playthrough.
This speaks to my sense of humour. Now if I can get a physical copy I'll be happy.
Laying pipe is one of my favorites.
Now I got that song stuck in my head again.
To me the best thing about NMH2 on Switch is the fact the bloom effect isn't a low resolution blocky mess, it's nice and smooth now.
the fight against Charlie is basically edgy Prince of Persie vs. classic Prince of Persia.
Bruh the music in the Sylvia cutscenes is such a vibe. I love it
LIKE OMG. THAT GUITAR 😩😩💯
I like to think the toned down assassin intros compared to the first game is just a part of the normalization of the UAA Assassin Rankings
Hello!!! Just found your channel a few days ago and i love it! Sat down and watched all of the Wha Happun vidoes and was wondering if you could do one on Legacy of Kain: Dead Sun? Obviously its up to you but i think it would fit well with that series.
I never understood why Travis in the original No More Heroes... his character model’s face looked almost nothing like the art work... I’m so glad they fixed that in this game. That still bothers me to this day.
Isn't that how travis was in the first game? It seemed like he was doing it to get laid but turns out he wanted revenge on jean?
He had no idea Jeane would be in the game.
@@MattMcMuscles Right because he was drunk when he told her? adds up.
I thought that's how it was too, because before he asks Sylvia on a date, it seems like he wants the UAA to do something else for him. After replaying the game I figured it was to find his sister, but who knows.
@@jeremyabbott4537 or maybe sylvia knew about him and jeane from henry? i think that's giving it too much thought but ehh
@@KylePhantasm I mean IDK if she did or not, I just thought Travis was going to ask her to find Jeane, but didn't ask outright because he got distracted by dirty thoughts.
Santa destroy. The only place to gentrify murder
I just beat this whole switch port and never knew about the ecstasy mechanic!
25:00 fun fact: Nathan Copeland is Scottish
Power levels? What was Matt referring too?
Only power level is the bean katana. Was that what he was talking about?
Justice rains from above!! 33:10
A hero descends
This and Gungrave had some wild shit that really should make a comeback. I'm glad they added more to G.O.R.E. before it comes out.
Oh Sylvia, you have no idea how many people care about continuity in Video Games
The extended kill the past lore says that the UAA or whatever else is real, part of the above-ground league of assassination dudes, as opposed to the Killer 7, which are part of the underground league. Some crazy stupid retcon bullshit, but I love it. Think they tipped us off on it during that trailer for Travis Strikes Again where Dan and Christopher Mills are on their way to kill that Bat dude.
I love these remasters and so glad I can replay these games after so many years. But is the music really low in both games for anybody else? I could barely hear it while playing and the soundtrack is too good to miss.
you can increase it in the options
@@MattMcMuscles right I got them and master volume maxed out and SFX lowered but the music still sounds pretty low to me. Oh well though
Mc Musslez with another awesome play through
Burger Suplex Pizza! It's the Pizza for you and me-hee-HEEEEEEE!~
Number one ! Here I come !!
34:27 good times
WHY'D YOU SKIP THE BISHOP DEATH, saddest vidya death
It's really not
I was a little upset the open world didn't make it in NMH2. It's still a fun game without it, but I miss rolling around at the speed of Travis's natural musk.
"you "though" was over"
Is it bad I don't know how to activate ecstacy made when its filled?
i just beat this again on switch... You can activate ecstasy mode!?!
I never played the Wii original so I bought the switch version
The wii version is not a port is the original version
is that grampa max
Yes
So like, is Travis being able to animorph into a tiger canon, or is that silly video game nonsense?
Really missing the overworld of the first game. The overworld is like mini game this time. Which can get a bit repetitive after a while.
Travis has telekinesis?
Is the first game also on Switch?
ua-cam.com/video/YygwKs-a-U8/v-deo.html
Yo beat this game
You know i really don't get the hate for this game, sure they went way over the top with it at some points but the streamlined mechanics are a nice decision I just wished they implemented them with an open world. Also the music is leagues above the first game.
Honesty, a lot of the bosses in 2 aren’t exactly winners and thats without the full 50. I would rather have a few good fights than 50 shit fights.
You should do a what happened to silent hills (PT)
Are you gonna continue this, Matt?
I literally already finished it ua-cam.com/video/0CIJ93KoHxU/v-deo.html
@@MattMcMuscles I’m a fucking moron. Sorry Matt.
i wanna get this game but like i do not want to fight charlie macdonald again LOL
Lmao
Best game
Can I ask can I play with my pro controller? If so how well is it
yes. It works fine.
If theres a p2 I'll see that shit
hold up, did that actually happen or did Matt, in his infinite silliness, play this game again and again until he finally got anarchy in the galaxy?
that actually happened.
Is it just me or do the posters around travis flat look like gurren laggan posters?
I swear tge one next to tge idol poster when she hangs up on him literally looks like one
I love your muscles!!!!
I like bishop
I might buy this if it’s on PlayStation
@Baron o Markers That port sucks
I mean... No More Heroes has a pretty BAD history with Playstation
@Baron o Markers oh ok
This game wasn't bad but it was far less enjoyable than the first game to me. It really lacked the feel of the director like viewtiful joe 2 and Bayonetta 2. It did right some wrongs with not having to grind money for the main fights and faster weapon swapping and the soundtrack is the best improvement.
I think this is a bit harsh and a kinda shitty thing to say.
@@MattMcMuscles yea it was. I'll admit I was just...very furious with the cheap final boss. Its very stupid. Gonna change that comment
This game is essentially filler sadly. Everyone go play TSA
I disagree. Lots of fun to be had with NMH2; mini-games, some fun new swords, and there's certainly a few boss fights that are worth experiencing. A game's value isn't JUST about storyline.
Honestly, as cool as the themes and stuff are of TSA, I could not for the life of me enjoy the gameplay. Pulling the camera out so far really emphasized the repetition that the first two hid so well.
@@MattMcMuscles yeah it's fun but filler. I also think gameplay is also step down from one. I like a lot of parts in 2. But overall is downgrade from 1. Music is fire in all the games tho. And the shinobu and henry bits blew my mind. So there's a lot of good stuff in here.
