- In this clip, DJ Vlad reveals to Sick Jacken that Psycho Realm was on the first mixtape he ever produced, a project that was heavily inspired by the Soul Assassins movement. From there Sick Jacken begins to share his life story growing up in gang affiliated Los Angeles, during a time period between the 1970’s and 80’s that he described as the ‘Lord of the Flies.’ During the interview, he also speaks on why he doesn't do many interviews, likening himself to "Prince but less purple."

Grew up in the same area as him , pico union downtown LA (psycho city blocks) sick jacken and big duke had very unique voices(Duke was the best on the mic) psycho realm are legendary . Extremely underrated. Their music was ahead of its time talks about situations that are happening today . i still listen to it these days, every time I hang out with my childhood friends we bump their music and reminisce . Big fan here you guys are an inspiration to me and everybody that was raised in pico union . Thanks for putting us on the map PSYCHO REALM !!

I love this dude. Soul Assassins click is my favorite crew in all of hip hop. I have the Cypress Hill logo on my back but I LOVE psycho realm. Its a shame about Duke because they had a great chemistry together on tracks. Theres something about a high voice and low voice mc together that really complements each other.
