I know I’m late for this but I know I will never be last but I wanna say this. First things first MAJOR BIG S/O to Miss Dawn Staley on winning the championship and BIG congratulations on everything that your doing, I remember as a kid I saw you in Whole Foods but I didn’t wanna approach you because I was afraid to say hi to you. Now to MY MAN, MY FAVE ATHLETE OF ALL TIME AND MY GOAT ALLEN BUBBA CHUCK IVERSON. I remember when I was a kid and I met you and till this day that was the happiest day of my life so far. To anybody that’s watching this and reading this I want y’all to remember this. Even though it might seem hard, it might seem difficult, it might seem stressful and it might not be what you want it to be but just never give up the fight, keep going, stay true to yourself and keep your head up. BEYOND WORDS! Literally, her knowledge and keen sense of detail is beyond words. It's weird even lol...but in a beautiful way. Dawn has a way of thinking that is so cerebral, unique and analytical. Importantly, the flat out truth. I appreciate her willingness to grow our game, especially as a Black woman. She is encouraging others to step up and take hold of the opportunities that are unfolding. No more time for lapses only time for focus and discipline for the job at hand. I appreciate her drive and I concur in hopes to carry the same torch even further...just as she has paid it forward. It was also a blessing to witness two very legendary point guards shed light on the game and life lessons. AI was definitely a gifted athlete on the court (bball) and on the field (football). His crossovers are classic trend setters for ALL hoopers, men & women. As always I truly enjoyed this podcast. ✊🏽

Facts I love Ms. Staley, am a fan of hers. I've been watching dawn from her yrs in college and the Olympics wnb when it started. She my favorite female player, her and Diana T. I've been watching female basket ball from the beginning. Am a sports junkie, meaning I watch all sports men and women. I female the female game is team oriented then men's.

You earned a sub from me cuz I love appreciating women athletes especially the greats like Cheryl Miller who beat the crap out of younger future NBA HOF younger brothers. Derrick Coleman and Charles Oakley to me were the alphas of the league and it’s easy to see why the young pups like AI were enthralled by OG like that. When the rolls story came up, I recently Heard Oakley talk about being at VUU and having Virginia boy Moses Malone drive on campus in his Rolls to seek out Oak as a student and it made an impression on Oakley. Being such a car guy like Oakley was, and realizing how tight DC and Oak were, you gotta imagine the Moses story was part of that OG vernacular and historical narrative that AI became a part of. In a way, a guy like Lou Will is 5th generationsdown from Malone. Moses to Oak to DC to AI to sweet Lou.
