The fact p5R made an alternate ending for this where hes ALIVE breaks my heart even more, cause THIS is the true ending.
And in the alternate universe he goes to jail instead of us, us who could have been bailed out, us who has friends to bail us out, us who for an instant, just wanted to hold his hand, to know he was really there, to know hes TRULY there. Despite atlus not admitting it, imma say it, Akechi is our partner, our other half, our soulmate. And forever will be. *tangent over lol.*

Omg I am literally crying. This was literally how I felt after Shido’s palace. I was like, “how come no one is talking about Akechi anymore? He was in the news all the time! How could anyone forget him?” And this comic just sparked those feelings again. Also, seeing that page with Akechi’s glove and the incense burner made me cry even more. Thanks for this amazing dub ;v;
I know this comment is a year old but I'd like to add that the flowers on top of the gloves were Forget-Me-Nots.

ok ok, imagine, Holmes and watson but with joker and crow but they are both fighting over the place of holmes
i just noticed that the way akechi holds his gloved hand to his chest at the end reminds me of how he threw his glove directly at joker's chest when he declared that he hated him in that one scene of the game and now i wonder if it was intentional on the artists' part.
That was beautifully voiced and animated. I’m so happy it was just randomly recommended to me.

The piano version of With The Stars and Us always hits my feels hard when paired with scenes like this. It really amplifies the sadness to the point where it drives me to tears. Wonderful job with the editing!

A month later and I'm finally able to watch your comic dub after getting nearly to the end of Persona 5 Royal! Finally! I've been wanting to watch it for so long haha
And it was worth the wait, I loved the voices for Akechi and Akira (especially Akechi! He sounds so tired....poor guy). The editing is also so good!
Please do some more Persona comic dubs in the future 🙏
