I've got the mclamp (I think the cheapest version) of Manfrotto to attach to Pixi and it doesn't quite line up on the thread tightening firmly for UA-cam filming. It's Manfrotto but I guess when you go for the lowest...

Could you upload a link for the white iPhone lightning adapter to the 2.5 or 3.5 mini jack socket? You've used that as a microphone if it's plugged into the transmitter.
When you pull it apart to slide the phone in, it looks like you have to pull hard if it's a wide phone? That's my beef with my current clamp, it's a pain to pull the spring and hold it to slide in a iPhone Plus with a case which is quite wide and requires the widest grip it can hold. Then taking it out of those clamp jaws again is a struggle. So this wouldn't be the right alternative for me eh? Was hoping it stretched loosely and then the clamp fixed it in place.
My phone is 8.5cm wide and on the current clamp that's the limit. The Manfrotto is listed at max 10.4cm so maybe that should make it easier for me.

I’ve got a Monfrotto tripod for my Sony camera, is there something I can attach to it so I can use it as a phone tripod too?
Juan, that's a "cold" shoe mount. Hot shoe mounts have connectivity that allows them to trigger devices, a flash for example, when a shutter is triggered. Cold shoe mounts are just for holding accessories basically

I went through this. ITS HELL! On my sony a6500. I just use it to position myself by the imaging edge app and press record. Very basic. But it works for me. If I am at home i plug my laptop with micro usb and use remote app.
I would recommend getting a phone cage you can find them on ebay has many slots for accessories

I am buying this today because i need one that can hod a mobile when its in a rugged case. i pay heaps cash for my mobile Huawei p30 pro. Also my gimbal mount is made all metal and will eventually scratch my phone. thanks for the video. PS i am paying "38.95 to buy one for USA and import to uk.

My manfrotto clamp which could shoot only landscape mode broke today.I got that along with Manfrotto Pixi free. Which clamp is best to record both horizontal n vertical?Pls advise urgently!
If you are using an externail mic than this Pixi clamp will come in handy because of the mount on top.

With this particular model you can only do landscape. Unless you have a small size phone.
@@JuanCamacho21 you can tilt the tripod mount to go into that mode or adjust the gimbal.

Huh... you shot that video on an iPhone pro and that's how it looks ? Two things : A/ I just knew Apple's marketing was BS with their "shot on iPhone" ads that looked like it came out of an ARRI Alexa and B/ comparing this soft, clearly over-compressed HD footage to what comes out of a DSLR is a very bold statement. Even my Sony a6000 does better.
